Laudete app.
Same. Readings in Mass. I want to see them as I hear them.

Funny thing, I often get dirty looks from Boomers who don't understand what I'm doing. But in a homily one time, Father talked about Laudate at considerable length and the Boomers who had been glaring daggers at me moments earlier squirmed uncomfortably in their seats.

Kind of amusing, rly.

I turn my phone off during Mass. Father just gave a lecture last week about using cell phones during Mass.
I turn mine off as well. You could put your phone on silent though if you wanted to use the app. You would not believe the ringtones we get in Mass sometimes! People often space turning off their phone or just silencing them.

Some lady used her cell phone last week. Father said "This isn't right" then lectured her about using her phone in church. I'd rather just blend into the crowd. :sorry:
Yikes! Fr. McGrouchyface by chance??

lol...no, it was the priest from my other church. He was a lot more gentle than Fr. "Temper" would of been. Fr. Temper would of ran over and stood next to the person and yelled at them. This priest spoke in a calm voice--but I'd rather stay out of the spotlight.

I was hoping it was a different priest!

We silence our phones too. One time a parishioner was using their phone during Mass and Father let them know that was not a proper thing.

For sacraments I would rather not go digital. Usually readings are in a book. I believe recorded music is still discourages at Mass. It should be live. Of course, I'm old.

But then again, I use the universalis LOTH because it takes us to the right day and also has Latin. I am not as old fashioned as I thought.

Our pastor had a true "JP II" moment with a parishioner whose phone went off on the sanctuary (EMHC). Finger wagging and everything.

Have you ever used your phone in the confessional or even the confession line?

I usually go pray in a pew before getting in line, and sometimes I slip my phone out to go over some stuff for examination of conscience.
