Since this is a pretty important event in the election, I thought it might be cool to post this for updates.

RECOUNT DAY 2: Georgia effort continues without any problems reported

So far things are going smoothly. Also, one county seems to be already done - Bacon County has said their count matches the initial count, going heavily to Trump.

It honestly feels like he's just throwing mud on the process and trying to leave office without having to concede that he lost. Today Trump asked them to stop the recount, saying they weren't matching the signatures, even though that's not part of the process nor was it ever supposed to be. I feel sorry for the governor, who's been branded as some kind of RINO traitor for basically just doing his job.

Onto Day Three. No irregularities found so far.

Looks like they’re finishing up for today. Don’t think they released any new counts, though I did find it funny that, in Dekalb, they noted there were more people monitoring the count than people doing the counting.

In Philadelphia, the city where the Republicans claim that observers weren't allowed, I recall they allowed 100 observers from both parties -- and allegedly both had over 150 observers at various times (which is when you started hearing observers being denied entrance). It was definitely more observers than counters.

It's just an excuse. On some level, he probably knows the recounts are going to come out with him still losing, so he needs something to keep the fraud narrative going.

Here we are, at Day 4.

Recount, Day 4: Counties resume work, Raffensperger debunks Trump

Things are going smoothly, still looks like the recounts are going to match the initial tally with little change.

What is interesting, however, is Trump's sudden poo-pooing of a recount that he and his administration wanted done just over a week ago. He's been calling the process a shame since it started turning up numbers that didn't deviate from the original count, and complaining about officials not being allowed to match signatures. However, as is noted...

Signatures are checked when county election offices receive absentee ballots from voters. Reverification of signatures isn’t part of the recount process because ballots can’t be matched back to ballot envelopes to protect voter secrecy.

No evidence of new mismatched signatures have been brought forward during the recount. Election officials rejected 1,998 absentee ballots for invalid or missing signatures before the recount.

Seems some hidden votes were found. Apparently, someone didn’t upload the votes from a drive. Only 2,600 votes were missed, and it’s not thought to make a big difference i the overall count.

That drive was from in-person voting, so it will most likely favour Trump over Biden.
