BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Garces Memorial High School has apparently dismissed a theology teacher after more than 100 students, parents and alumni signed an online petition complaining that he’s been spreading “unacceptable messages of ignorance and hate” on social media and in the classroom.

Garces teacher Timothy Gordon has some strong opinions about Black Lives Matter, about sexual orientation and about street violence, and they seem to have cost him his job.

Mr. Gordon apparently doesn't realize that you shouldn't fight error with equal but opposite error.
It may be possible to make some good points in opposition to the excesses that some Black Lives Matter partisans express, and to deplore the uncalled-for destruction that happens during riots, and so on. But to simply generalize in the opposite direction, as Mr. Gordon does, shows a serious lack of wisdom.

I only know what I've seen in the news, which means I don't know jack about what he really said. But if it was along the lines of "looters and rioters will be shot", that's just ordinary, unoffensive common sense.
