[font=tahoma, arial]The holidays are coming up and I need to make a big decision. Should I get a Gamecube or a Game Boy Advance SP? I've been thinking on this some time now and I've decided I need some outside help.

Also I can get at least 1-2 games with the system. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I actually like the SP a lot more than a GBA with a light. It has its flaws, but it's a much better handheld, and the light works better.

That said... Gamecube. Unless you're in the habit of carrying games everywhere, it's more fun. If you become desperate to play GBA games, get a Game Boy Player.

Any recommended games for the Gamecube? I know if I get one it comes with Mario Kart: Double Dash. But I need at least one more....
These games are all pretty good:

Super Smash Bros. Melee
Metroid Prime
Soul Calibur 2 (Has Link as a character, if you care about that)
Eternal Darkness
The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker

Yeah all of those games are great (and I have been psyched about getting Soul Calibur II on the Gamecube to play as Link).

If you don't already have a next gen console (such as a PS2 or Xbox) then definitely go with the GC (and refer to the list of games MoonlessNight suggested, he's got good taste). The GBA SP is a good peripheral system, but it doesn't offer the same experience as the GC.

Depends on whether you'll be using more for single player or multi-player. Super Smash Bros is the best multi-player game (though Soul Calibur 2 is a close runner up). Metroid Prime and Zelda: The Windwaker are the best single player games... and I can't really decide which is better. That's a matter of taste, I suppose.

I have both Consoles, both have excellant games. What sort of console do you want? Do you want excellant gfx, sound and 3D games plus online options go for the cube. If you want probably the best portable console yet made, with an excellant selection of games like Advance Wars 1 & 2 and FF:Tactics then go for the GBA:SP...

Although i think the cube is actually currently cheaper than the GBA!
