Hi to all and in Gal 1:23 , proves that it speaks of 3 different people and speaks of 3 different GOSPELS !

Gal 1:23 reads But they were ONLY HEARING that the one ONCE persecuting us is now preaching the GOSPEL of FAITH which once he was DESTROYING !

#1 , Notice that there are 3 FAITHS also in Gal 1:23 !!

#2 The Faith of the Law OF Moses !

#3 The Faith of the 12 APOSTLES !!

#4 The FAITH that Paul Preached !!

Gal 1:23 shows that at the same time The Law of Moses was still in EFFECT as written in Acts 21:20 !!

In other words it shows 3 Gospel all beening preached AT THE SAME TIME !!

We see Peter in Gal 2:14 !!

And we know from Gal 1:6-13 that the message Paul was preaching was from Christ Himself as shown in 1 Cor 9:17 a new message called a DISPENSATION /OIKONOMIA !!

The law has never saved a soul! Faith is the only thing that makes one righteous before God!

The gospel is the same for salvation to Jew and Gentile! what is different is the presentation. Jews are free to keep the Mosaic Law (not for salvation or righteousness) while the gentiles are under no such burden. Paul said that often.

Yes the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus initiated what we call the dispensation of grace or the dispensation of the church!

But there was no gospel of faith in the law of Moses that is a valid gospel.

the law was not given to save people as Paul clearly writes in Galatians.

18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Remember that teh OT saints did not have the indwelling Holy Spirit like the body of christ does.

So as Isaiah wrote, their righteousness was filthy rags.

And Paul sote that those in the flesh cannot please God. that is not a new thing with god- but an old thing!

Yes faith is right! And God covered sin until Jesus! When Jesus died- their sin was removed! That is wehy the righteous dead before Jesus ascended went to Abraham's Bosom/Paradise! They were saved but Jesus' blood had not yet been shed.

It was never the gospel of faith by works. It was God who made the covering for their sins in Genesis .

Also the law or adherence to the Law never saved a Jew.

Galatians 3-5 make it clear no OT believer was saved by adherence to the law. They were saved by grace through faith just as we are~!

We are now considering a time when dispensations changed! From the dispensation of the law to the dispensation of the church or grace! Anyone who was considered righteous prior to Pentecost would have accepted Jesus as Messiah after Pentecost!

Once tghe church was born at Pentecost- the only means of salvation was trust in Christ atoning work. The Jews who were righteous and alive would receive this good news. Ephesians one God foreknew them.

Every soul has been saved by grace through faith. The object of faith may have differed in different eras, but the price has always been the blood of Jesus. As it is written He was the Lamb slain before the world began.

The gospel of the kingdom which was preached until the events of Matthew 12 was the legitimate announcement that Messiah had come and the kingdom had arrived. God foreknew Israel would reject it, but the offer was still made by God.

After the nation of Israel had committed the unpardonable sin- the offer of the kingdom was revoked till a future generation of Israel and Jesus then began training the apostles for the church!

YOu are confusing salvation with teh Kingdom God has promised the Nation of Israel on this earth!
