Constitutional rights have no value on the street. None.
They are only useful when your lawyer is arguing your case.
On the street, arguing your imaginary rights, with anyone,
can get you killed.
I'm not trying to sound condescending, but I know no other way to say this.
You do not understand the principles behind society and why we have civilization.
Fiat currency, law and order, all of it is essentially an illusion. We collectively "believe" that we have rights, this collective belief prevents me from going to your house, hitting you upside the head with a large rock, raping your wife, and taking your children as my own...
The ONLY reason we as a populace listen to the police is because we have bought into the collective illusion that police are moral and upright and our enforcing the law that benefits us all...
So where am I going with this???
If, as a nation, we collective come to the conclusion that police are nothing but thugs with badges, we as a group of disenfranchised citizens will start killing police and politicians.
Police represent less than 1/10th of 1% of the populace. The only reason they have power is because we have collectively bought into the illusion. If it comes to be believed as true that Police are corrupt and heartless and "thugs" and that illusion dissipates completely we will have 1960s era civil disobedience if not outright civil war as the populace starts killing police. Economy will grind to a halt, we will spiral into something worse than the Great Depression.
Police don't live in compounds, police in this country are integrated with the populace. There is a police officer a few houses down from me. How easy would it be for me to throw a Molotov cocktail in his window at 3am?
The truth is, our modern day society has created an environment in which Machiavelli Politics is untenable. IN a nutshell, Machiavelli politics say that the State will sometimes have to do immoral acts in order to maintain the State and/or benefit the citizenry... However, because every State is composed of relatively moral citizens, the State must hide its evil deeds from this moral populace or else the State will lose moral authority and legitimacy and the citizens will overthrow the State (i'm paraphrasing heavily)...
RIght now, with social media and technology, it is now impossible for the State to hide or downplay its immoral and unjust actions. If the State loses it moral authority and legitimacy in the eyes of the citizenry, then we all our collectively screwed.
The Las Vegas Massacre should show you just how vulnerable our society is to an angry *bleeped* off citizen who has decided to rain down fire and fury.
Now imagine what that would be like if people like me with military training decided to throw our lives away and strike back at the State?
Imagine the carnage and turmoil that would ensue if me, RDKirk, ThatRobGuy, and a few other intelligent but "hypothetically" suicidal upset citizens banned together to go to war against the government? Then imagine if we were not a crazy fringe cult minority group but rather just 1% of the population that has "had enough". It would be the end of this country.
And we are heading down that path. How you might ask?
Well, my father was big and black and he had dementia. What if my father who was big and black and in his late 60s just happened to encounter a trigger happy cop during one of his dementia episodes? What if said cop decided to kill my father because "He didn't do as he was told" as you advocate. Do you think I would have let that go and said, "Aw shucks, mistakes happen and besides my father should have just sat down and shut up even though he had dementia and didn't know what was going on???"
No. If this hypothetical situation had happened and police killed my father over the typical "I feared for my life" bs I will just say that would not go over well with me and I would declare war on that police department and given my IQ is north of 130 it would not end well for them.
This is how close our society is to the edge, it is just a matter of time before attitudes that you embody end up sinking us all. As technology progresses, the power and ability of the individual to hurt the masses grows almost exponentially. So the only way we can coexist is if we live in a fair society. The State must treat its citizens fairly and in accordance with the law, a law we citizens agree to.
Or else, a hundred years from now they will be sifting through the ashes of this country wondering why we didn't heed basic lessons demonstrated over and over again throughout history...
