I was hesitant to start a FTB here, didn't want to jump on the bandwagon. But it seems like I'm being questioned about what I really believe all over the board. If you are interested you can find me here. So ask anything, and I will answer, unless it's completely unreasonable.

Ask the Christian who sees no issue in being an escort for an abortion clinic and being a Christian how that works. I'm (hopefully) a newbie lawyer to be. (I take the bar exam in a couple days). I am ELCA Lutheran with a touch of UU. I'm interested/excited to see what you all think up.

Cool! So what kind of law do you see yourself practicing?

Right now...anything that will get me a paycheck. Eventually, I'd like to work public interest, perhaps for a non-profit. Or I'd like to be general counsel for Planned Parenthood or NARAL.

lux et lex means "light and law", correct?

That is correct!

What is your view of typical church tradition in regards to religious dogma such as hell, afterlife, etc etc?

Yikes. I don't believe in hell. Afterlife...I believe in heaven. And everyone will be there. I may classify myself as being ELCA Lutheran but I have very heavy UU leanings.

We are so similar! Except my denomination is the "ONLY" correct one.....UCC with heavy UU leanings. ;)

How does it feel being a raging heretic?

Hi there,

So you don't belief that our Heavenly Father and Brother suffer Hell - from our loveless rape of His good life - even inside our own heart - making us untrue and therefore curse Him.

God's perfectly love be caning with how you put it, I know that for sure.

Just try and be crucified in loveless agony utterly forsaken and unloved for 6 thousand years by your loved ones and see if that will make you a bit more sympathetic towards us raping and piercing God's Loving Truth completely uncaring.

For you know humanity is wrong and yet we don't care about the suffering agone Creation must go through - enjoying our sinful time even - yes people stuck with such loveless views - our Lord has saved from death - they may do the eternal wailing!

Have mercy on God and those suffering before you dismiss Hell as a fable and not The Truth my friend.

Rev 1:4b-8

Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
Look, he is coming with the clouds,
and every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.

"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."

What is your fav outdoor activity? Camping/hiking/ etc etc

I don't know if I can pick just one. So I'll list a few.

I love camping. I am a canoeing instructor, so obviously I enjoy that too. Not a huge fan of hiking because I have weak ankles and it's hard for me to go over rough terrain without falling or something of that sort. I like tubing down the river, and I like bonfires.

I totally would! I've capsized my fair share teaching people how to canoe. The worst is getting in and out, or changing who's in the front or back on the water. I like to kayak as well, and would love to do it on some rapids. I am a Girl Scout (have been since 1st grade and I have my Gold Award (fun fact)) and I went on a canoeing and camping trip with the troop I was mentoring. One person ended up not being able to go at the last minute, so we had an odd number. No one wanted to ride, so I ended up canoeing 7.5 miles by myself. Doable, but I'd rather be in a kayak if I'm going to be alone...much easier to control.
