No, it doesn't. There is still no shortage. Federal transportation rules have been relaxed to let additional trucking take up some of the load until the pipeline issues are corrected, but there is no shortage. Supply has not been cut off to anywhere, it's merely been constrained, and that will be temporary.

If the issue were such that people could expect supply actually to run out or be cut off, hoarding would make some sense (it would be a jerk move, but it would at least be rational).

Hoarding when continued supply is certain but merely temporarily strained is just plain stupid.

We're seeing rise in prices partly because of the return of a semi-normal economy and the return of normal inflation. I guess that was Trump's plan to keep inflation down by creating a pandemic. The DJIA is not the only economic indicator out there but according to Republicans it is the only thing that matters. We dont care how many people we have to watch die as long as our stock goes up!

HI It is cool to see you think my point of view is rubbish. Because I can lay out many very specific similar facts that form a timeline and declare the world events in advance and the more specific my claims are the more rediculous you can take them but if you comprehend them and see them coming to pass you might just think that I knew this not on a lucky try but based on the foreknowledge of God and you might have a chance in that day to take a stand.


I have to note that these events I am talking about are relevant to Jerusalem being a thorn in the side of the whole world and a treaty of covenant between Israel and many naitons will be formed and in this pact Israel will get to have the 3rd temple. This is the 1st ahha moment you should watch for. The end has a global goverment rising to power. Hi you are right on your point about the 3rd time we have been at this type of juncture and in those cases men preached repent be ready and in a sense it was like Jeremiah who was a young man when called and an old man when the judgements came to pass. You see a world government is only one of many factors that come into focus for these days. You see the other factors must integrate into the scenario as well and in the 70's and 80's men thought the EU would be the 10 nations of the end times. They also thought men could not get more wicked and that the judgement of God would come soon.

So if we look at the decline in morals over the last 80 years we see now we have reached ground never achieved in human history. We are now calling gender a choice and have over 80 such titles and are funding sex change operations for children. We have breached all previous restraint. The fact is the reality of Rev 6 conditions will need a trigger event and I believe we are hear. Things are moving faster like birth pangs as Jesus noted and those men who have taught prophecy updates over the last 15 years now cannot keep up with the relevant news. Back in the day we thought we would go from in and out burgers to the sky now we see mens hearts failing them for fear of what is coming upon the earth. Blaming the CPI/inflation increase on Biden/the Biden Administration is particularly dumb.

Inflation increases when an economy comes out of recession. There's more demand for goods and services, which increases prices. You've just come out of a deflationary period. Of course there's going to be a snap back.

The solution would be to put a ceiling on price increases. And if this Administration did that, the screaming about 'Socialism/Marxism/Communism' would be so loud even Ludvig von Mises (whose be dead for 40 years) would be impressed.

I think that the minor increase on inflation rates is actually quite healthy. The American Treasury has been trying to increase the inflation rate from its historic low.

Incidentally, the rise in inflation is of a piece with the fall in equity markets, which is also a healthy sign. Trump never understood this. Perhaps Biden does.

Agreed, this incredibly low inflation rate that has lasted so long made me nervous. When I saw gas prices gently rising again was an indicator to me that business were starting to reopen.

Well, gas prices are supposed to have risen at this time of the year. One reason is the switch to summer gasoline formulations. The other reason is the normal summer increase in driving...compounded by the abnormal post-covid increase in driving.

In addition, we're recovering from the Texas freeze. Gasoline prices also fluctuate from stupid things like the panic buying over the Colonial pipeline hack.

And of course, oil prices fluctuate for all kinds of reasons, some apparent, some arcane, some flat out secret, and some just on whims of the market.

Basically, the cost of gasoline any given week is too volatile for too many reasons to be a reliable indicator of the overall inflation rate. Gas station managers change prices according to what they're guessing their next gas shipment will cost them...so that their cash flow will cover the charge.

There is no gasoline shortage. There is just as much gasoline as there ever was. It's all there. The pipeline will be down for a few days, so the federal government has relaxed interstate gasoline trucking regulations so that trucks can take up the slack until the pipeline is back in operation.

But there is no shortage. The gas is all there. It's just not going to flowing as amply for a while. Normally, that should only mean that some of the smaller stations would run out one or two days a week.

Except for hoarding stupidity. This is another reason I say a lot of people are under a spiritual delusion in this country.

LOL, I remember years, okay decades ago, reading a Reader's Digest where the owner of a gas station in a small town ended up being the leading price setter for miles around. If he changed, everyone followed suit within a few days. He would change gas prices depending on how his weekly poker game went
