A close friend of mine is a lost ginger soul who doesn't believe in Christ.

He calls me a "conspiracy theorist" whenever I try to show him the light and givr him some guidance like send him bible quotes.

    What can I do?
Please don't say, "just leave him".

Prayer ... and ... regardless keep sending scripture and pray that the Lord will give him light.

Sadly, we know some people will never come to the light and by sharing the light we will be mocked and criticized ... but ... nonetheless we are to get the gospel out there.

    Agree to disagree.

    1 Corinthians 2:14

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

    natural (nature)

5591 psyxikós (an adjective, derived from 5590 /psyxḗ, "soul, natural identity") – properly, soulish, i.e. what is natural, as it relates to physical (tangible) life alone (i.e. apart from God's inworking of faith).

Many people are tied to the physical and dismiss or deny (mostly ignore) the other element of humans that is non tangible ... even though we all know it is there.

Consciousness varies in complexity and it can not be observed.

Consciousness refers to your individual awareness of your unique thoughts, memories, feelings, sensations, and environments.

Everyone has a unique consciousness, we know it exists, but it can not be observed or explained ... because it is unique to each individual. Sure we have a physical brain ... but what goes on in each ones brain is unique to them.

That is what the Lord is concerned with .... our thinking ... our minds ... and they need to be changed .... and that can only be done through the power of the Lord.

Ask him , 'Why do you believe that? and What evidence do you have for that belief?'

Your conversation should be about the historcal facts that Christianity is based on, and you should be challenging him to have reasonable evidence to back up his believes.

See sites like reasonablefaith, wintery knight, answersingenesis for logical, scientific and biblically based arguments and evidence.

    What's a "ginger soul?"

You ask that we don't say "leave him" which I take to mean you're with him in some appreciable way that indicates a relationship beyond simple friendship.

You would like, if that's the case, to consider exactly what kind of a future you could have with someone who thinks you're a crazy nutjob... Just saying. Relationships are based in mutual respect and common goals and interests, which is clearly something you don't have with this person.

That said, I don't believe in being pushy about our faith, it's generally not a good way to get people thinking about Christ and salvation.

Virtually all my close friends are highly intelligent non-believers. If I did anything resembling proselytizing, the friendships would be over. I "witness," if you want to call it that, by my life. A topic marginally related to belief may occasionally arise and I'll participate and let it develop as it will, but I never push. God calls when and how He will, and I'm not so arrogant as to think I'm His chosen vehicle with everyone I know.

I see that in British slang "ginger" means "homosexual." If that's the case, I've had two good male friends who were gay - one of them was one of my all-time favorite people. I can honestly say, neither their homosexuality nor my beliefs ever came up in our conversations. I hold the traditional Christian beliefs regarding homosexuality, but I didn't see it as my job to destroy a friendship by wading into those waters as though I were the only way God could reach them.

Be yourself in personal, don’t try and convince him in anyway, if you are living the life he will naturally see differences in you, the more you say the more you will have the opposite affect.

    Pray for him.

You might not find great success with "telling him things". It might be more effective to draw him in with questions.

If he can develop an inquisitive mind, he might be open a little to looking into real Christianity. Denominational hair splitting has caused many to turn away from Christianity. It may be batter to, if he is still open, focus on things like love, truth, and eternal life.

Any counsel to a seeker after peace and assurance for God's care, needs to be guided to the four Gospels; esspecially John 3:16; John 14; Romans 8; and noting Galatians 5 as a summary of Christian life. Let us take "all the consel of God"; "rightly dividing the Word of Truth", as God tells us. We MUST come to appreciate the Gospels and the Epistles to know God's mind for us. Going back to Old Testament will give us history, but Gospel truth and Church truth in found in our New Testament. -1watchman.

Note: "a mind persuaded against its will, is of the same opinion still".

We all should pray for his friend.

Also, send him a Bible on cd and in print. Not the King James.
