I spent most of my formative years in an Evangelical Quaker Church. In fact, I got married there. My whole understanding of Christianity was shaped almost entirely by this denomination. In those days (back in the 1970's) they were very serious about communion and baptism being spiritual, and ONLY spiritual (not tangible). Somewhere along the way they have apparently changed, and I have just found out about it.
I am still Christian but I am no longer a Friend. But it has been such an important part of my life that finding out this significant change has really effected me!
Anabaptists aren't really Friends, but this forum was the closest I could find. Is this a place where I can discuss my feelings and some of the issues involved? Or is it not appropriate for here? Perhaps I should take it to general theology? Or where?
