I'm not surprised that Macron appears to have won, but the fact that Le Pen did so well, even in a country that is hard on incumbents, is scary.

I feel quite re-lieved with the result.
I had expected worse.

Sad that almost no one posted here but I'm not surprised at all. We're in an English speaking forum and French people just don't speak English. I know it because I'm living between France and Madagascar and French is my 1st language. Speaking English is a posh thing in France.

You will barely see French here. I've only seen 1 profile yet. And pretty much no one is interested in other countries political events unless you live in the same region.

But this topic was still a good idea for members living in the EU. Glad that Macron won.
