well, considering france is 10% muslim.. i would bet it's pretty conservative.

it's amazing that almost no muslim is a republican.. it's interesting because most muslims are VERY VERY VERY conservative.

Of course France is conservative - just because they dislike America it doesn't mean they're liberal. France has always been very right wing. Le Penn Polled 17% in '02 remember.

I tend to agree. Get rid of the tax breaks for married folks as well, there is no reason why my wife and I should pay less now than we did before we were married. I'm all for a truly fair, flat tax with no exceptions and no exemptions, except the truly VERY poor.

I'd be perfectly fine with that. Let churches give marriages in whatever way fits their theology. Let the state register that people live together and share an estate for the purposes of taxation, inheritance, insurance, etc.
