I've determined that big forums give me social anxiety. You always have to worry whether you will upset people you don't anticipate the beliefs of, and have to worry whether you are breaking a forum rule when you post. You can always pray that the staff will understand you and be gentle when handing out any infractions if necessary, but it's dangerous to think of yourself as having an upper hand when it comes to rules too.

I am not talking about the rules of this forum necessarily, just the rules of big forums in general.

Also, I have the annoying habit of keeping a forum up to date on even the smallest things about me.

I have no filter either I never know when my bluntness is being taken as offense or when I'm being too personal that it makes others unconfortable.

In my case it's the opposite, I feel better talking to people online. I get very nervous about having to talk to someone else face to face, not even in church I can ask for counselling/advice, when I try the words come out different than I think. In fact, I started dating by accident, I had a cupid, there are some issues that I can not even talk to my girlfriend face to face or I have trouble talking about, but I can speak naturally by the cell phone (text menssage).
