I follow the politics of Jesus.
Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things
that are God's.
As a soldier of the gospel I do not entangle myself with the nonsense
of this world.
Worldly Christians are getting all upset and political over the recent
homosexual marriage and parenting plebiscite and resultant legislation.

Politics can never save the world from Satan, only the gospel can.

The left's decent into utter SJW madness has sent me fleeing to the right. I was here over 10 years ago arguing with right wingers on the merits of gay rights. Now, I've seen numerous arguments that I dismissed as slippery slope fallacies come to pass.

2016 exposed the real fault lines in our political landscape. It's not left/right, dem/rep, lib/con. It's globalists vs. nationists. Islamists and islamophilies vs. islamopponents. Individualists vs. collectivists.

Those are the real divides that face us.

And yet, had the ‘No’ vote prevailed, would you be so dismissive of ‘wordly’ concerns...?

The one-dimensional spectrum is to blunt and broad to derive any meaningful information.

For example, I'm right of center on probably 1/4 of the issues, left of center on 1/2, and dead center on the remaining 1/4.

...but without knowing which ones, it'd going to be hard for anything meaningful from knowing that.

I say I lean right, but did not take a test. I lean right or left depending on the issue. In ration to social programs and letting people in right, but in matters relating to treatment of treatment of inmates and the law left.

Yes.
Worldly politics is a distraction from the real issues of life.
The gospel of salvation and the promise of life eternal through Jesus Christ;
who came into this world to make the way of salvation open to all who
repent, are baptized by full immersion and in the Holy Spirit.

You cannot save the world through politics because it is inherently corrupt.
In fact the Bible forewarns us all that our own wickedness will in the end destroy
us all but for the return of Jesus to bring short the final catastrophe of nuclear war.
Embrace this free offer of salvation before the last day of hope.

Yes, I hear these claims of ‘imminent returns’ all the time. But that’s all they are. Our problems will be solved, albeit imperfectly, by the only ones that are here......us.

You are a citizen of Lah-Lah Land.
Good luck with your delusions of humanism.

Meaningless. I deal with realities. The reality is that we have a human history of people solving their problems for themselves. Not always gloriously, not without missteps, not without failures....because we’re human...!

But, there is no evidence of our problems and challenges having been met in any other way....
