Forum for Spiritual Warfare?

It's something that gets brought up in at least a few different forums, but I think it would be great to have a forum called "Mobilize the Troops (Spiritual Warfare)", or something similar, so we could have a place here to focus our attention on the eternal war with the devil.

I have been reading a book by Tozer called 'This World: Playground or Battleground'
I recommend reading it, it puts thoughts into perspective.

I like the last paragraph on page 9,
"Let us then face tomorrow with praise and song; let us live in a state of perpetual worship. For are we not kept by the power of God, 'unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time' 1 Peter 1:5 "

Great idea! What is a Christian believer without knowledge of the enemy but prey? Pathetic topics enough floating around spiritual warfare is real in everyones life, yet we can't discuss it!

Maybe spiritual is the first thing that needs to be defined before we even get to the warfare!

A "spiritual warfare" forum would do nothing but create a three ring circus for folks claiming to be "possessed", and those who want to try and "cast out" the claimant's "demons". It would be a troll magnet.

There is a LOT more to spiritual warfare than just kicking out demons from people.

I would just show them to this scripture:

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Principalities, Powers, Rulers of darkness, Wicked spirituals; all these terms describe various forms of fallen angels. They are the generals, the colonels and the majors of the battle and NOT the foot soldiers (demons).

They do not take up residence in a person, they rule over cities, countries, ethnicities, etc.

I realize that Christians practice prayer as part of spiritual warfare in order to "repel" evil forces....but there's already a Prayer Forum. The practice of "laying on of hands" and "anointing" require physical touching and can't be done on a forum. That pretty much leaves the practice of exorcism or verbally claiming to bind evil forces.....specifically banned on CF:
"Posts which attempt to exorcise or bind demons, or posts which give instructions on how to complete deliverance are not allowed."

Spiritual Warfare is a reality and I know this from personal experience. But, I have learnt the hard way that it is not helpful to talk and receive advice about this issues on a public forum or by email.

This whole area is complex and many people have different views and vulnerable individuals can be damaged more and be triggered by such views.

So I would encourage those who say they need this kind of help to seek real life support.

I was thinking more just typical everyday fighting off Satan's temptations & traps. Exorcisms are one thing, but more what Paul's letter to the Ephesians discusses, the constant war we're in, is what I'm basing this potential forum off of.
"St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen."
That sort of thing.

• Requesting specific prayers for deliverance from demonic activity, or requesting advice on how to exorcise or bind demons is not allowed. Posts which attempt to exorcise or bind demons, or posts which give instructions on how to complete deliverance are not allowed. Members concerned about demonic activity/deliverance may speak with a CF Chaplain in the Ask a Chaplain forum.

Opening a forum to discuss spiritual warfare would lead to violations of this rule. This rule will not be changing at this time.
