Yes, tomorrow (Dec. 21) is the day some say the world will end. Must not be believed by too many. I saw quite a few people buying next weeks groceries today. Are you ready? :p

We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?

I've heard there's a larger-than-expected number of people who are still buying into that rubbish. I can't remember where I heard that though.

We ought to make Craigslist ads to say we're accepting donations of cars, cash and houses if people aren't going to be needing them. :p

If its an EMP pulse that Nasa has been warning about, I suppose building a faraday cage would be wise for smaller electronics. And youtube has various instructional videos on how to do this. But your out of luck on the bigger stuff unless you get ridiculous. Like if cars and electronics are affected and you protect your car with ridiculous measures the electronics to obtain gas (for it) would be affected too (I would think) so undertaking that enormous measure would seem fruitless unless you store up on gas. It all gets a bit crazy when trying to comprehend what you would need to do I guess.

I heard they used to build refrigertors hardened for that sort of thing, didnt they? But they stopped? Which sorta doesnt make sense that they did if that could be done.

But Im not sure of all the technicalities of all that stuff myself.

Um...the real issue is leap years...Ceasar instituted leap years around 47 BC...the Mayan's did not account for this...there have been 500+ leap years which means that according to the Mayans today's date should be July 2013...the "end" happened like seven months ago...Sorry to burst your bubble... :)

Nah, basically all those figuring out the dates came up with Dec. 21, 2012.
Some would have thought of the leap years.
Sorry, or as someone once (every 10 seconds said): Forgive me!

Or better yet, all of y'all can put me in yer last will and testament, so I will at least be able to half way survive while y'all are comfy in heaven :)

A Rapture codicil for Last Will and Testament « Heaven Awaits

For a long time, I enjoyed thinking about the Rapture, and if it were true, and when it might happen, if true. But I had never put too much thought into what would happened to those left behind to people I cared about, if there was a rapture and I was in it.

So what I am doing now is updating my Last Will and Testament, and including a codicil to the Will which addresses the Rapture. Most wills being executed are based on a person’s death, not their disappearance. If I just disappear, then my family will be stuck in limbo. Of course, I would like them to come with me, but that is God’s decision, not mine.

Each day we are faced with the possibility of not being here tomorrow, so protecting those we love is important.

Orthodox Preterism? You?!!! Perhaps we could make a good Orthodox of you but you'd have to forsake the youtube.:liturgy: Too much is FORBIDDEN. But alas, we'll all be floating in outerspace after tomorrow so what's the use.
    I love that rapture cartoon.

Yep, I bought a case of beer so if nothing else I'll get to pop a cold one while it all goes pear shaped around me.

A cold one? How American of you.Thou shalt not drink beer during the Rapture. Please keep seat belt buckled and keep arms and legs inside the car until it comes to a complete stop. Then and only then can you have that pint.

"A cold one" was actually a metaphor, in the end I found I had three cases of real ale which I drink only slightly below room temperature.

Looks like I'll be around long enough to see off the remaining bottles.

Well Rev. Randy it's the 21st of December, 5:40am and I just finished my Bible study. Haven't turned on the news yet, but I'm alive and feeling that life is good. Was I lucky and survived?

John Zain asked to be forgiven.

    I think we should.

Quick, everyone into the chopper! It's a sign of the apocalypse.

    Forgive me...
