Does that mean the volumes are abridged, or is it more a repackaging of the 10 volumes to 4? Thanks for the link (it is now bookmarked). God bless.

It's a repackaging. Originally these were a series of essays that were sent free of charge to pastors, missionaries etc. Eventually they were combined and put into a 4 volume collection and then into a 2 volume collection. Both the 4 volume and the 2 volume collections contain all of the essays in their entirety.
