"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God & His Righteousness, and all these things will be given unto you."
Francis Chan is a fantastic Christan speaker; definitely look up more from him if you want a passionate voice on all this good Kingdom of God stuff. He's normally much more passionate than he is in this video; not sure why he's so chill here, but the message is solid.
His talk here reminds me of a thought I had in prayer, one of the many, many times I was praying for a girlfriend. The thought was simple, more of a realization of a key detail I'd been missing. It was in prayer when I realized...what does it matter if I find a girlfriend? I thought, of course it matters! It's what I've been seeking for all these years! It's the greatest desire God put on my heart!!
But then I realized, no....the greatest desire God puts on anyone's heart is the desire for Heaven. A girlfriend is good; anything else in this world can be good. But here's the key...whether or not I ever find a girlfriend will have no impact on my eternal salvation. An incredible lifelong marriage can last 62 years, but that's laughable short compared to Eternity with God
"Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are Above, not on the things that are on the Earth."
