For Our Nation

War, politics, lies, betrayal, the murdering of innocents, our young men and women in uniform dying on a battle field via men of power; takeovers of nations, sin abounding, the church asleep or complacent for the most part; the gospel diluted, and do we even notice? Through all that is going on in this world of ours, Jesus is gently calling us to Him to make him Lord (master) of our lives. The good news is that God is in absolute control over all things, and he will work it all out for our good. We need to pray much for our nation.

“Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods” (Ps. 40:4).

“So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.

“You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:17-24).​

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.

Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.

Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.

Men deceiving: we’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.

Amen, dear sis, bless yer heart for this and all you do for the Lord. Our country IS in dire straits. We gotta keep lifting up our country and praying, especially as the elections draw near, and KNOW that He IS God. God bless you, dear heart for the reminder. (i gotta stop listening to the news and just lift it all up to our God and now that He's bigger than ALL of it.)

Brinny, it is good to know what is going on in the world, but we must listen to or read the news through the eyes of God. We must pray for discerning spirits to know what is true and what is false. Which nation? You didn't say. There are users from all over the world on this site.

I live in the USA. If you watched the video, you would see that it is about the USA. Yet, all nations are affected by, at least some of this, in one way or another, I believe. As long as we live on this earth in flesh bodies we will experience people lying to us, betraying us, etc. We will probably feel the affects of war and hatred, if not directly, then indirectly. Nations are being taken over all the time. Some of this may be obvious, while some may done more stealthily and subversively, i.e. they are being taken over via deception and manipulation. If a particular nation has not yet fallen into the clutches of the global elites and power people of the world, it will one day, because the Bible tells us it will happen (See: Rev. 13). So, no matter where you live on this earth, you can probably relate to most of it in some way or another, because we don't live isolated from the rest of the world, and we are drawing closer and closer to that rule of the beast. To all of our nations God is gently calling people to put their faith and trust in him and not in man.
