No, I'm not trying to argue that God guided the early Church to do the opposite of what God's Word says. But the early church didn't think that worship on the seventh day was something required by God word, based on what I've read. They used a different interpretation. Was God guiding them in that interpretation? A simple question to help us understand each other better: Was God guiding the early church as it wrestled with the question of which books were God's word?

Do you think God guides us to do the opposite of what His Word says?

Sabbath is easy to understand, it is a law.

Now, we understand, Jesus sets us free from the set ways of man...

Matthew 6:Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Jesus is against the lawyers, and against the ones of the law, by bringing faith to their eyes, which they rejected and through having no Spirit of faithfulness, murdered their own Messiah.

His words alone are Spirit and truth, TRUTH AND SPIRIT WERE NOT IN THE LAW OF MOSES THEN..

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Not really dear friend. Jesus set us free from the penalty of breaking the law which is condemnation and death *Romans 6:23. Jesus did not set us from from the law so that we are now free to break the law. This is called unbelief and sin that we are warned against according to the scriptures (see Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 14:23; 1 John 2:3-4; Hebrews 3:8-19; Hebrews 4:1-11). Gods' Word does not teach the false teachings of lawlessness (without law) and according to John those who practice known unrepentant sin which is defined in the scriptures as breaking anyone of Gods' 10 commandments and not believing Gods' Word *James 2:10-11; 1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Romans 14:23 and those who do not practice known unrepentant sin is the difference between the children of God and the children of the devil *see 1 John 2:3-4; 1 John 3:6-10; 1 John 5:2-3; Revelation 12:17; Revelation 14:12; Revelation 22:14.

James and others you keep showing, all say love, that is the law now, and the law of the old testament was hatred, to hate your enemy.

You can keep to your opinion, and I will keep reminding of the part of love replacing law, how and why....

Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
According to Jesus on these two great commandments of love to God and love to their fellow man hang all the law and the prophets. Do you love your neighbor as your self by lying, stealing or murdering them? Do you love God by taking other God's, making idols and worshiping them, using Gods' name in vain and breaking Gods' Sabbath? According to Paul love is established through obeying Gods law from the heart not by breaking the law..

Romans 13:8-10 [8], Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for HE THAT LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW. [9], For this, YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, YOU SHALL NOT KILL, YOU SHALL NOT STEAL, YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, YOU SHALL NOT COVET; AND IF THERE BE ANY OTHER COMMANDMENT, IT IS BRIEFLY SUMMED UP IN THIS SAYING, NAMELY, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. [10], Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

God's Word does not teach lawlessness (without law).

James also agrees with Paul in the previous post that love is expressed through obedience to Gods' law not by breaking Gods' law when he says...

James 2:8-12 [8], IF YOU FULFILL THE ROYAL LAW ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURE, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF, YOU DO WELL: [9], But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.[10], FOR WHOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW, AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE IS GUILTY OF ALL. [11], FOR HE THAT SAID, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, SAID ALSO, DO NOT KILL. NOW IF YOU COMMIT NO ADULTERY, YET IF YOU KILL, YOU ARE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF THE LAW. [12], So speak you, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Sabbath is not loving your neighbour, it is loving yourself, and teaching law is not loving anyone, but preaching the cross is faith, that is love for all, to believe in the risen Lord, that the ten commandments could not give that faith ( hence why Judaism is not in faith but in those same commandments you quoted)

Love works no ill, if you can love others on the sabbath, why not give every day to help and love others.

1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Luke 7:35 But wisdom is justified of all her children.

Faith is how we do not transgress the law, as what is not of faith is sin.

Being a debtor to do the whole law, is when you go by law, so do sabbath and do circumcision..

Galatians 5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Love fulfils the law, it does not fulfil it by sabbath, that is self seeking. otherwise, tell us, how do you love another by sabbath keeping for yourself, and how do we follow Jesus loving others and easing their burdens on sabbath, by dropping all that to do sabbath?

God tells us He blesses us when we keep His Sabbath, which is the exact opposite of what you are teaching.

Isaiah 58:13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,

And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.
The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Galatians 3:O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

Galatians 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Here Jesus keeps the ways of Israel?

Luke 4:25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.

Loving your neighbour is by laying your life down, as Christ did, He did not achieve that in Israels way of sabbath keeping, circumcision, in hating their enemies, in stoning the adulterers, take care

But we believe in the risen Lord, this is faith, this is then all in us by Spirit, what do we need man to teach law for, as their letter teaching kills the Spirit....

You don’t keep the Spirit of the law by breaking the letter. You are teaching lawlessness which is not biblical. We don’t want to find ourself in this situation.

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

We are told BLESSED are those who DO (keep) the commandments but outside are the lawless ones. Revelations 22:14-15

You might want to take a step back and think about what you are teaching, because it is not what Jesus taught or even Paul who you keep quoting out of context. 1 Cor 7:19 what matters is KEEPING the commandments of God

Loving your neighbour is by laying your life down, as Christ did, He did not achieve that in Israels way of sabbath keeping, circumcision, in hating their enemies, in stoning the adulterers, take care
These of course are your words. I prefer what God's Word says and Gods' Word does not teach lawlessness. We do not love God or our fellow man by breaking Gods law according to Jesus in Matthew 22:36-40; Paul in Romans 13:8-10; James in James 2:8-12 and John in 1 John 5:2-3. Therefore as the scriptures teach love is expressed in obedience to God's law as we believe and follow what God's Word says. Love is not expressed in disobedience to breaking Gods' law and not believing and following what Gods' Word says...

1 John 5:2-4 [2], BY THIS WE KNOW THAT WE LOVE THE CHILDREN OF GOD, WHEN WE LOVE GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.[3], FOR THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: AND HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GRIEVOUS.

Gods' Word does not teach lawlessness (without law)

Take Care dear friend.

The letter kills, teaching letter kills faith...

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

His commandment is compassion for other, not for ourselves, sabbath serves us, but benefits nobody in need..

1 John 3:Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Not as the Jews in the law without love and mercy of God..

Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Luke 11:42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
