Than go ahead and toss God in there for your own needs. I wouldn't expect science to include God, until evidence is discovered to do so.

I'm very satisfied that God created everything, as well as all the processes attributed to evolution.

So.
You don't see people demanding that civil engineers explain the miracle of buildings not falling down.

That's because engineers finally read how the ark was made and decided to copy the design.....platform construction.

Why is what other people do important to you? You can include God on your own, is that not enough for you?

You push evolution, I push creation.

Parallel dimensions? Is this reality or Star Trek? A dimension is not some alternate version of the universe where everyone is evil and has a goatee. A dimension is like height or width. Don't get your science info from sci fi shows.

but you forgot to mention the modern myths such as dark matter.

"dark matter of the gaps"... that is what main-streamers always say when they can't find proofs.

'Dark matter' is not an attribution of sentient agency.

It's a set of cosmological observations of anomalous gravitational effects.

Scientists did not invoke supernatural spirits or suggest GodDidIt, they looked for a natural explanation. The two most likely explanations for anomalous gravitational effects were thought to be either that gravity itself was behaving oddly, or that something unseen with mass was the cause. The odd gravity hypotheses don't seem to fit the observations very well, and for the unseen mass hypotheses, a weakly interacting particle is the current best fit hypothesis. Testing this hypothesis is the current focus of attention - although a variety of other hypotheses are also being tested.

Standard scientific practice.

your mythos states that intelligence is not a high factor in reality so dark matter has to be some kind of non-intelligent entity and therefore your mythos rules out fairies and other sentient beings. that is one reason why I called your kind of biological psychology a "modern" mythology.

it's only the current best fit for your religion just like "Jesus saves" is for the christian. it's funny how mainstreamers dismiss alternative science like a muslim rejects a christians holy text.

haha but I don't care, maybe mainstream science is right and the EU people are wrong. but when your ilk tells me things like "EU is invalid because they try to get funding to do their test".... I grow ever more suspicious and disagreeable.

human tribe seeking and defending did not magically vanish just because you started to call yourself an atheist and a rational person. sorry for beating a dead horse.

My boss on one job was an Engineering student, graduated from Purdue and was doing is graduate studies at Rose-Hulman, I asked him about this once. He kind of popped off with a rambling discussion about how String Theory resolved some fundamental problems with physics. I didn't get it but then again, I don't deal with their problems. The way I get it, things very big and things very small act differently, this creates no problem for the layman. For someone who is trying to figure out the details and remain consistent have some serious fundamental problems. String theory is an attempt at a unified theory, I can see how it might be replaced some day but by what I wonder.

but I do understand that there are a lot of wacky ideas out there and that there is a lot of christian tribal defending going on. and i'm not denying that people who love learning and science are attempting and somewhat effectively stripping themselves of useless irrational thinking (in the context of how science works).

i'm just trying to promote the idea that we have a nature, that science is teaching us even more clearly how it is like, and that we have to account for things in us that pull us along that we might not even notice.

No, it doesn't rule them out. Considerable scientific effort goes into looking for sentient beings. Intelligent life has been suggested for observations quite recently. However, if there's a more plausible explanation involving natural forces (as with the recent observations), it will be preferred.

Invoking magical or supernatural causes is generally not taken seriously because they fail all the criteria for inference to the best explanation (abduction). They aren't testable, they don't make predictions, they have no explanatory scope, and they are not parsimonious; in short, they aren't explanations (you can't explain the unexplained with the inexplicable).

... when your ilk tells me things like "EU is invalid because they try to get funding to do their test".... I grow ever more suspicious and disagreeable.
Yeah, not my ilk. Maybe you should address it to the people who say that.
