A vote is taking place today.

WASHINGTON, June 17, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — The first day of the Spring General Assembly of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops was described by USCCB president Archbishop José Gomez as “fruitful.” Nevertheless, it revealed the amount of division among the bishops over the issue of Holy Communion for abortion promoters: Early debate was sparked about the format of the agenda, and regarding the amount of time to be given to discussing the proposed document drawn up by the Committee on Doctrine on a “formal statement on the meaning of the Eucharist in the life of the Church.”

While no vote is to take place on the proposed document until the end of the second day (June 17), the document’s text was at the forefront of the minds not only of the hundreds of virtually assembled clergy, but also of the members of the media who were allowed to pose questions at the post-meeting press conference.

Archbishop Rozanski and pro-LGBT Bishop Stowe were two prominent figures among several bishops who asked for unlimited time to discuss the document, which would allude to pro-abortion Joe Biden’s reception of Holy Communion, a subject which would be covered as part of the document. Rozanski stated that the matter was too important to be rushed by the prescribed time limit of 5 minutes discussion per bishop.

I mean shouldn't this be a no brainer that communion should be denied to those that think it is Ok to abort children from a Mothers womb?
Did the bishops move to give us coherence or incoherence? Looks like incoherence is winning out. Am I wrong?

You would never know these men were those who were called to continue the mission of Jesus Christ here on Earth. Yesterday’s virtual meeting of our bishops was mired in discussions of agendas, filibustering, and talk of the need for unity.

The word “unity” has been thrown around like a weapon. Some keep arguing for unity which essentially means doing nothing to defend Church teaching and doing nothing to stand up for human life.

There are some standouts, such as Archbishop Cordileone. But the certain trumpet he sounds can at times be drowned out by the yawn inducing parliamentary filibustering obfuscations of so many others.

The late Colonel Hackworth a decorated soldier in both Korea and Vietnam labeled a category of leaders as “The perfume princes”. These were the ones who cared nothing for the soldier on the ground and only cared about advancing their careers . The USCCB is full of perfume princes.

This scripture comes to mind.

11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep

The Bishops need to stand. If they fail then the enemy will roll all over them.
The Bishops need to remember we are not of the world. If Catholics threaten to leave the church because she takes a stand for the faith entrusted from Jesus Christ then that will be on them.

As I’ve been saying ever since the letter trying to squash the forming of a document on “Eucharistic Coherence”, the loud crowd is in the minority. There is no “split down the middle.” Let’s look at the vote on drafting that document: 168 yea, 55 nay, and 6 abstentions. The club that wants to give Communion to whoever walks up to receive didn’t even retain their supposed 67! I don’t know why a bigger deal hasn’t been made about that, but more than one person who supposedly signed said they didn’t at all. Cardinals Cupich and Gregory have some ‘splaining to do!

So back to the numbers. The nays are not even 25% of all the USCCB bishops. For all their whining over unity, the minority is really the problem. Maybe they need to get on board instead of lying on the tracks trying to stop the train.

On top of that, today I find that 60 “Catholic” Democrats issued a “Statement of Principles.” More like a statement of lack of principles!
https://twitter.com/CatSzeltner/status/1405960359081566209The disturbing thing is that this was totally orchestrated. Five seconds after the bishops vote to draft a document clarifying Catholic teaching on the Eucharist and they were totally ready to go with this screed. This is nothing more than a Fr. Martin/Cardinal Cupich media stunt. And yes, I’m guessing, but with good reason, they are behind it. They’ve been spinning for days, suggesting everything from those wanting to produce the document are somehow in schism, to them ignoring the CDF, to them singling out politicians. The Democrats had the liberal Catholic bishops’ talking points down pat. Sadly, they are all LIES. Yes, I totally believe that. They have moved on to plain old deception. This never was about one issue and their working outline didn’t focus ONLY on politicians as Cupich tried to suggest yesterday. Heck, even Martin, SJ, is tanking that theory because he’s pointing out the document bars openly active homosexuals from receiving. Hey, ethical media, try reading the outline for the document before editorializing: https
