MrJim, you hit the nail right in the head. The argumentativeness is why I don't visit this site very much. There is too much discord here.

Still it's unnecessarily foul~where many prowl to simply find fault with someone's "belief" because they are so sure their's is the perfect one..."according to God's Word.." and people be trounced and damned in the process of proving it...it's a real sh*thole when you get down to it...

I'm sorry you feel that way. This sub forum seems to me to be one of the more civil ones at CF.

What's you're beef? Is it Arminianism vs Calvinism? Put it out there brother. We're all disciples for Christ.

It's the combative nature of this forum...much heat and little light..

 good grief

Anywhere doctrine is important, you will have disagreement & heat.

& I also take into account that trolls & sox come in & mess with topics along the way too.

If an area is supposed to be a safe haven for people of THAT belief, and people have a real hard time fitting in and don't agree on very much with them, chances are they might fit better in a different forum where they do find majority of full agreement (to a greater extent)....

I realize that nobody is going to agree 100% on everything nor do they have to on minor issues or doctrines.
People are all different and we all have different personalities & traits w/ different characters for different reasons; you have yours as well that others have to deal with too.

Most often, we criticize thinking that we're the one's that are OK & everyone else is the grape nut - & it's not the case. All of us create differences and conflict by carrying our own beliefs that others have to agree or disagree with which affects them too.

I suppose~still seems like there should be better uses of our energy than arguing and fighting...but then that was the seed that formed this place; why should it be anything else:o

Some things I do argue about and for when I believe they're important.

But your point is very well taken and I'm going to be focusing on that this week.

Alot depends on topics tho possibly?? I mean, we just had 1 that looked like it was attacking conservatives & could still be taken that way.
There are ways people can start threads & think of content -

I think we need more fellowship posts in this forum... maybe people will post more of those?
:)

My daughter was confirmed this morning and took part in her first Sacrament of the Alter.
After much worry on her part about receiving the cup, I asked her how it was and she said that knowing it was the Blood of Christ and not just wine does make a difference and she was worried for nothing.

God is good and we are grateful beyond words.
