  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  3. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  4. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  5. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  6. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  7. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

    Hi,
I just feel like I'm far from God as my mind is suffering to an extent where I don't even know what to do and I feel no closeness to the Lord. I wish this pain in my mind would go away. I am afraid.

It sounds as if you need to go back to the elements; switch off your mind, relax and float downstream.

Ditch the phone for a day, go somewhere rural, breathe fresh air, drink plenty of water, listen to the birds sing and enjoy just being. Don't judge yourself, just BE.

When you're quiet enough, God will whisper.

    Hello deeper99,

I would like to share some scripture with you for your comfort, please take a moment and see what you think about when you read these text okay friend?

Romans 15:4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

    James 1:
1 James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,

To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings.

2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,

3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

4 And let endurance have its perfect (complete) result (work) , so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.

5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.

James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

(This doublemindedness is speaking of going back and forth from having faith to not having faith.) Jesus Christ has paid for our sins and has forgiven of us of our sins that we may walk in the light and not the darkness by and through faith and trusting in God. If we draw near to God; God draws near to us - in worshiping God in spirit and in truth.

Jeremiah 29:12 Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

Matthew 7: 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Mark 6: 47 When it was evening, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and He was alone on the land. 48 Seeing them straining at the oars—for the wind was against them—at about the fourth watch of the night, He *came to them, walking on the sea; and He intended to pass by them. 49 But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought that it was a ghost, and they cried out; 50 for they all saw Him and were terrified. But immediately He spoke with them and *said to them, “Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid.” 51 Then He got into the boat with them, and the wind stopped; and they were utterly astonished, 52 for they had not gained any insight from the incident of the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

May you seek the Lord Jesus Christ he gives us rest for our souls.

Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Sometimes seekers after God do not understand 'RELATIONSHIP'. God wants a spiritual relationship with man, and that is devotion to Him as our redeemer and should be LORD of our life. That comes by receiving His beloved Son: the LORD JESUS, into our heart ---not just a mental BELIEF. God says: "go into your closet" --being alone, and speak to God (Matthew 6:6).

A sincere seeker after the Lord WILL find Him; and that one will be "sealed" by the Holy Spirit as a "child of God". It is a RELATIONSHIP, not just a belief. Make the Lord Jesus your 'best friend' and talk with Him daily, and you will find His presence by the Holy Spirit. That is the Gospel in a plain way - note these verses: John 3:16; John 14; 1 Jn. 5:10-12; etc. I will pray for you!

No doubt about it, friend, for one who RECEIVES the Lord Jesus into their heart in prayer to Him, WILL receive His presence; and the 'helps' you speak of. First read John 3; John 14; Romans 8; etc. in the Gospel books of your Bible, and you will hear God speaking to you. It is a REALTIONSHIP, and not just a 'belief'. You will then feel the Holy Spirit in comfort as you walk and talk with the Lord Jesus daily. Write me personally anytime on Conversation pg here if you wish to chat.

Take it all to The Lord in prayer. When you're tired of praying, say 'Lord I am tired", when you're feeling distant, tell Him you feel distant. This is how a relationship is formed & will only keep getting stronger. Don't stop talking to God, just because you feel distant, but instead tell Him how you really feel each time. Above all though, try to worship God even if you don't feel like. Complain less and worship Him more.

    Dear one,
Draw near to God, He will draw near to You.
Desire God, and You will have desire from God.
    So dear one,
when you desire God to be close to you,
then you will have desire from God to be close to you.

    Dear one,
This is what we have heard:

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. -Psalms 145:18
He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. -Psalms 145:19
The LORD preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. -Psalms 145:20

Dear one, if you don’t want to be far from God, call on Him in truth. Then He will be near you.

Dear one, if your mind was suffering to the extent that you don’t know what to do, do call on God in truth.

Dear one, if you want to be close to the Lord, seek the truth of His love. Then you will be close to Him.

Dear one, if you want the pain in your mind to go away, dear one, hear what is written that the Lord fulfill the desire of those who fear Him. Dear one, choose the fear of the Lord, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge of God.

Dear one, if you don’t want to be afraid, BE WITH THE LORD. Then you will not be afraid.

Dear one, remember that the Lord preserve those who love Him. So come, come, come to the truth of His love. He will set you free.

To God all be the glory and thanksgiving. Amen.
