Indeed, Christ the King was initiated back in early twentieth century because of the growing risk of fascism and the fear of people following me rather than Christ. Today, sadly this important lesson and meaning of this feast has gotten lost and a few decades back when I tried to get a priest to allow the church to reflect He WILL return when we least expect it, and this was the meaning of that feast he told me, "No, it too depressing a topic."

    How times have changed.
