Thought I'd share this video from Abbot Tryphon. I consider it vitally important.

I really enjoy Abbot Tryphon's posts, and videos. They're always edifying for me.

It IS vitally important. There are many who will not return until death itself has been eradicated, ironically. All those years of Pascha, and they did not learn a single thing.

[STAFF EDITED]

Can a person receive unworthily and fall ill? Yes. (This is why we ever accepted, probably wrongly, any even temporary restriction in our churches.) Has the Church ever taught in consensus that that is a good reason to close churches and treat the Eucharist as a carrier of disease? No.

And now it has become clear that the death rate is so tiny as to be, at most, indistinguishable from ordinary flu deaths, and evidently, even lower. Only a fool would argue otherwise now. At first we didn't know what was going on, didn't have data, and so naturally trusted our experts and specialists, though their advice and prognoses kept changing. Now we have seen the actual results despite half of the various national populations doing contrary things in response to the alleged threat. We have heard the health workers here at TAW report what they have seen. But they have seen nearly all that there is to see, and it is not very much.

The good Abbot said, "Enough is enough", and he is right. We have feared this virus too much, and spiritual death - not enough.

You seem to believe in a different religion going under the same name.

Oftentimes these individuals see themselves as liberators of the masses in said group. They think of themselves as the enlightened ones and thus the saviors of the group.

And yet there are those who just enjoy strife.

I think something that we need to address is the priority of the Church over sickness.
My son just became a catechumen on Sunday in a parish that has remained open. I am willing to die for this to happen.
Two weeks ago some catechumen were baptized in our parish. I am willing to die for this to happen.
Last week I was able to confess something that was weighing heavily on my soul. I am willing to die for this to happen.
Two weeks ago my wife and I had our marriage blessed in the church. I am willing to die for this to happen.
Sunday my family and I were able to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. I am willing to die for this to happen.

I don't believe that drawing near in faith to the Eucharist is a risk for transmitting any disease. How can the curse outweigh the Cure? Yet, be it a sickness or persecutor, I am willing to face death for the church to continue. This is not a mathematical equation to solve in deciding the validity of a decision. The Church should be open.

I think some are sincere. Sincerely wrong, but not trying to deceive.
