I suggest the Russians watch out for this guy, if he shakes your hand check to see if you still have your watch. Sold one Russian oligarch a mansion where he made 60 million dollars and then it had to be torn down. If they are dumb enough to deal with this guy, they deserve what they get.

What contact do we know about?
At least 12 Trump associates had contacts with Russians during the campaign or transition, according to an analysis of public records by CNN, with at least 19 face-to-face interactions with Russians or Kremlin-linked figures and at least 51 individual communications.

Trump aides known to have had contact with Russians include the president's son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner, his son Donald Trump Jr, former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, and the Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The president's supporters point out that interactions with foreign nationals are routine during any White House campaign, but three Trump aides have now admitted lying about these encounters.

    Who's been charged?
The special counsel has indicted more than 30 people, including four members of Mr Trump's campaign team or administration and 25 Russians, as well as three Russian companies.

So? The Clinton foundation got a million in "non profit" donations from the government of Qatar during her campaign. Don't see anyone calling her a spy for the Muslim brotherhood.

We aren't at war with Russia, so it's not illegal to contact Russians or Russian officials. How many US politicians have had contact with other European politicians? It's only when it's those evil Russians that it suddenly matters.

If Trump were pro Russia he would have lifted the sanctions on the Russian trade which have crippled their economy for the past few years.

Except there's actually evidence for Trump being a Russian spy.

I saw nothing there that said he was, just that he might have been.

I mean it's over the top outrageous enough as it is
, but why not at least stick with what's being reported? But hey, might as well go all out, I suppose. ;)

It immediately raised red flags, since Trump was publicly claiming that he had no contacts with Russia. The troubling issue was initially only that he was trying to deceive Americans about his contacts. Only later did we start to find out why he did that.

And the Trump foundation got similar money from other Arab governments. That's legal, because it's not part of a campaign.

For the same reason people don't call Trump a spy for Al-Qaeda.

It is, however, a felony to lie to the FBI about it, and to meet with Russian agents to get "dirt" on your political opponents during an election campaign.

See above. You've been very helpful in pointing out the differences.

He tried to. As you know, during the republican convention, he had a platform point removed when Putin objected to it. And...

There are a lot of conservative republicans who aren't so happy with the U.S. being subservient to Russia, so Trump has to be careful.

Trump made buisiness deals in Saudi Arabia. Selling property and receiving money is not the same as getting a donation from the government itself.

It's not legal to receive money from foreign governments for a campaign.

Saudi Arabia, UAE pledge $100 million to ethically questionable fund proposed by Ivanka Trump

Donald Trump criticized similar donations to the Clinton Foundation when he was a candidate.
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have pledged $100 million to the World Bank’s Women Entrepreneurs Fund, an initiative proposed by first daughter and senior White House adviser Ivanka Trump. The fund, which was first announced in April, has already raised serious legal and ethical questions about how a White House adviser can both shape foreign policy and actively solicit donations from foreign countries for the fund.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the initiative would provide technical assistance and investments for projects that support the economic empowerment of women around the globe. Ivanka Trump does not control the money, though she first pitched the idea to World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim and has discussed the idea with leaders such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

On Sunday, World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim praised “Ivanka’s leadership” in spearheading the fund, and called it “a stunning achievement.”

President Donald Trump was extremely critical of Saudi Arabia’s contributions to the Clinton Foundation while campaigning against Hillary Clinton, going so far as to call for Clinton to return all the money given to the foundation, both in speeches on the campaign trail and during the October presidential debate.

It is not true, as some sites reported, that Ivanka was given the money personally. It was given to an organization that she endorsed.

Actually, it's illegal to receive anything of value from foreign governments for a campaign but not to receive donations for a charitable foundation. Which is why Donnie Jr. is in trouble, and Hillary Clinton is not.

Fair enough. But this was after the election and not during the campaign correct?

"Crooked Hillary says we must call on Saudi Arabia and other countries to stop funding hate," Trump wrote on June 13, 2016. "I am calling on her to immediately return the $25 million plus she got from them for the Clinton Foundation!"

About 300,000 people responded to that post, and it was shared more than 56,000 times. We wanted to know if Trump’s $25 million figure was correct.

We soon found that independently confirming information about the Clinton foundation is challenging at best.

Nonprofits, such as the Clinton Foundation, have nearly no obligation to publicly reveal who gives them money. They might need to tell a government agency, but the details remain confidential.

We asked the Trump campaign for proof and they didn’t get back to us. The only thing we found from the campaign was a list that included broad-range figures of the Saudi donations to the foundation, along with donations from an unnamed group of "Friends of Saudi Arabia."

Trump can’t prove that he’s right. But by the same token, it’s just about as difficult to prove conclusively that he’s wrong.

So, yet another unsupported accusation by Trump. Is it any wonder one of the most common words Americans associate with him is "liar?"

    9. What is the first word that comes to mind when you think of Donald Trump? (Numbers are not percentages. Figures show the number of times each response was given. This table reports only words that were mentioned at least five times.)
    idiot 39
    incompetent 31
    liar 30

And a foundation supported by his daughter got contributions from Saudi Arabia.

It's illegal for a campaign to get, or even solicit anything of value from a foreign government. Which is why Donnie Trump Jr. (and possibly Donald Trump himself) are in big trouble. And it's why Hillary isn't in any trouble at all.
