Good. I think a number of the insurectionists didn't realize the gravity of their actions, as is evident by their behavior. Nonetheless, what they did is inexcusable. Convict them as is appropriate, and hopefully all conspiracy-philes will learn to distinguish between reality and assumption.

Did U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick Die After Hit With a Fire Extinguisher?

The Snopes article above said (in part):

Authorities have reviewed video and photographs that show Sicknick engaging with rioters amid the siege but have yet to identify a moment in which he suffered his fatal injuries, law enforcement officials familiar with the matter said.

CNN additionally reported:

According to one law enforcement official, medical examiners did not find signs that the officer sustained any blunt force trauma, so investigators believe that early reports that he was fatally struck by a fire extinguisher are not true.

The officer's death is still under investigation, and it appears that the original story of his death (that was being circulated while his ashes remained in the Rotunda) may not be true. It seems prudent therefore (well, at least to me anyway ;)) to wait for the outcome of the investigation, especially since there are conflicting accounts, as well a number of pieces of evidence that tell us that the original story (that blunt force trauma was the cause of Officer Sicknick's death) may not be true.
