Easily the first one that comes to mind is 'When The Man Comes Around' - Johnny Cash

'On The Turning Away' - Pink Floyd

A newer one is 'Sign of the Times' - Harry Styles

I know there's more that I just can't think of right now. I also don't care what a song might OFFICIALLY be about, I assign every song my own meaning lol.

There's a 2Pac song...

'Shed So Many Tears', warning he drops the F bomb twice, other than that not vulgar like many of his songs.

It's a song about how he wishes he could get into the doors of Heaven, but he knows that he's stuck in a Hell bound life. And of course he was murdered very young, he didn't escape that life. He really expresses his paranoia and stress associated with his lifestyle in the song.

Let's see....since you've already put Pink Floyd out there, then I'm going to have to follow up with:

'Welcome to the Machine' - Pink Floyd
(It just has that 'Revelation' vibe to it.)

And how about: 'I Won't Back Down' - Tom Petty (It's has almost a Spiritual Warfare tone to it without being over the top...)

These are a couple of songs that I thought of just straight away.

Peace,

Where The Streets Have No Name -- U2

(yes, 3 of the members are Christians, but people don't know that and the song seems secular to the tens and tens of millions who love it)

Another:

"I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" -- U2

Funny you say that, I feel like Pink Floyd - Goodbye Blue Sky has a 'Kick off armageddon/WW3' feel to it. The beginning with the little kid used to give me the chills "Look mummy, there's an aeroplane up in the sky" but it's a nuke.

Oh I'll have to pay more attention to the lyrics next time, didn't know it had anything to do with that.

The first is a song of longing, for what many do not know, but it is for Him.

The second is far more obvious to us to be about Christ once you see the lyrics.

Both though are good for those far from Him, to help uncover the part in themselves that longs for Him. To help them begin to seek to find.

Hands down one of my all time favorite songs but it doesn't remind me of the Bible

Yeah, maybe it's not a reference to the Bible per say. But, it might be seen as a reference to Christian faith. Maybe?

A creepy one: "Supper's Ready" by Genesis.
from the last 2 subsections "Apocalypse in 9/8 Time" and "As Sure as Eggs Is Eggs"

With the guards of Magog swarming around
The Pied Piper takes his children underground
Dragons coming out of the sea
Shimmering silver head of wisdom looking at me
He brings down the fire from the skies
You can tell he's doing well by the look in human eyes
Better not compromise, it won't be easy

666 is no longer alone

He's getting out the marrow in your backbone
And the seven trumpets blowing sweet rock and roll
Gonna blow right down inside your soul
Pythagoras with the looking glass reflects the full moon
In blood, he's writing the lyrics of a brand-new tune
......
Can't you feel our souls ignite?
Shedding ever-changing colours
In the darkness of the fading night
Like the river joins the ocean
As the germ in a seed grows
We have finally been freed to get back home

There's an angel standing in the sun

And he's crying with a loud voice
"This is the supper of the mighty one"
Lord of Lords, King of Kings
Has returned to lead his children home
To take them to the new Jerusalem

This is a live version--not the original studio recording by Don Henley. About a man hurt in love, and realizing that coming to terms with it is about forgiveness. What could be more Christian than that? There's even a Biblical reference in the line "the flesh will get weak, and the ashes will scatter." One of the best songs from the 90s.
