His name is "Thor" but I usually call him Mr.Noodles.

And the two of them together are usually "Come On, you Noodles, lets go". The second one, Daphne, is a rescue that we've renamed her "Willow", but if she doesn't listen, then Daphne! gets her attention.

    My childhood dog was "Raccoon".

I confess that I forced the renaming of some of our animals as it just seemed more than appropriate. So with the horses "Twinkle" (a 16 plus hands/1500 lb. Oldenburg) was changed to Tolken, "Comet" was changed to Jamesie, "Peace" was changed to CJ (short for Calamity Jane), and "Lucky" stayed Lucky as she was rescued off a meat wagon 28 years ago. Our Boxer dog was "Hooch" and changed to Baxter, "Winter" was changed to Trouble, though most all were rescues some came without names...thus cats Elsa, Maddie, and Delsea. *my favorite dog growing up, owned by a neighbor, was Redsic Rover Rackaririon Shicum Shacum the first!

One of my dogs in the past was a male Great Pyrenees I named Oscar. That name fit him well because he was a true winner when it came to protecting my livestock.
