I don't have "a" favorite. I have three. "The Great Escape", seen it several times, read the book several times. "Rio Bravo", "The Magnificent Seven (1960)"

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre is a great one highly worth the watch if you've never seen it.

Cool Hand Luke and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly I really like but probably are familiar.

If you can watch Japanese subtitled; Seven Samurai and Yojimbo are great.

I like most of the black and white films: Casablanca, Brief Encounter, the Ealing comedies and those starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Bette Davis, etc. etc. My aunt and uncle took me to see the Sound of Music when it had just been released and I thought it was wonderful. I also enjoy Singing in the Rain and the part when Gene Kelly does that dance routine I think is one of the best light entertainment moments ever! :)

I too enjoy the Great Escape, Der Alter. :)

"Captains Courageous" with Spencer Tracey. He plays a Portugese-American crewman aboard a fishing schooner that rescues a spoiled rich kid who has fallen overboard unnoticed from a yacht.

Robert Blake was the kid in Treasure of Sierra Madre and I also remember him from Saturday movies as Little Beaver, Red Ryder's Indian side kick.

I have many, but two of my favorites are: Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream Home, with Cary Grant and Myrna Loy. The other is: The Long Long Trailer. With Lucy and Desi Arnaz.

I really like the 1939 version of Goodbye Mr Chips with Robert Donat and Greer Garson. I think Robert Donat was excellent in that movie.

Anything with John Wayne, who has grown on me slowly over the years to where he is now in my top few fave actors from back in the day.

Now, Voyager starring Bette Davis, plus anything else she is in.

I watched Night and Day on and off today, starring Cary Grant. I wouldn't class it as one of my favourites, but I do love some of the songs in it, especially the title song 'Night and Day'. :)
