The fossil fuel sources have been getting put out of business by government regulations meant to eliminate competition to "green" sources, even though green sources are proving more unreliable the more they're mandated.

Except that it was the fossil fuels failing that caused this, it's not like they were running at 100% and ALL the green sources failed, it was many different things that failed.

And? whats the damages if that sewer isn't fixed and breaks down? It may be on your street, but it connects to other streets and such and a break down there could hurt more then just you. The GOP and you guys are so short sighted, that the cost to fix something becomes majour issues down the line. many of your bridges, and power lines and such are in dire need of being fixed, but oh no too expensive, till something goes wrong and people die.

I agree that the upgrades should be made and the users of those services should pony up. However those who mandate those upgrades will probably face voter retribution.

Lol. My city has been run by liberal Democrats for decades. The streets are crumbling but we have miles of new, nicely maintained bike paths. Our once beautiful lakes are a smelly, weed-choked mess as well. To add insult to injury many bike paths run right along the shores of these lakes.
