Nice, I am sure everyone can get behind that.

I am sure that as a retiree that I will not directly benefit from the tax cuts nor the jobs bill but a tremendous number of people will. There will be price inflation so I can reasonably look forward cost of living increases in SS to keep pace. I agree with what you said but this is still good news.

They better hang on to it, winter is coming.
AT&T’s $1,000 Christmas Bonus Does Not Mean the GOP Tax Bill Will Raise Your Wages
Compare those allocations to, for example, a Boeing statement on Wednesday that announced “employee-related and charitable investments to spur innovation and growth.” The company would commit to $300 million in investments, including corporate giving, workforce development, and infrastructure enhancements for employees. No mention of wages. Southwest CEO Gary Kelly said his company would get a windfall of hundreds of millions of dollars, which he might use to modernize the company’s planes.
not to mention the millions of kids who aren't going to have any insurance anymore:
Millions Of Kids Might Lose Health Care Because Congress Dropped The Ball
Congress’ failure to renew a program that provides health care to low-income children by year’s end could cause almost 2 million kids to lose their coverage as soon as next month.

That’s according to a report published Wednesday by the Georgetown University Center for Children and Families. Federal funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which is jointly run and financed by the federal government and the states, expired nearly two months ago. The program covers about 9 million children in the U.S.
on the plus side though? all those millions of sick kids who have invested in real-estate related pass-through corporations and partnerships are going to get a sweet tax cut in the coming year
Bob Corker lines his own pockets with tax bill - The Boston Globe
Considering his “principled” opposition to increasing the federal deficit, it was hard to see the logic of Corker’s about-face — that is, until we found out Corker would personally profit from the legislation. At the last minute, a provision was inserted into the GOP tax bill giving a generous tax break to real-estate related pass-through corporations and partnerships. As chance would have it, Corker happens to have significant holdings in companies that would benefit from this change. In fact, Corker made between $1.2 million and $7 million last year from such income, which means this late addition to the GOP tax bill could net Corker close to $1.2 million in tax savings.
...those who don't die first of course. :sorry:
tulc(wonders if it'll trickle down onto the ones who aren't so heavily invested in the same things President Trump and Sen Corker are?)

Nothing man-made is ever close to perfect. I simply look for the current situation to be better than the past decade or two.

Trickle-down theory, Aka voodoo economics, was proven in the 1980s to not work. What are they teaching kids in school nowadays?
