Thank you for providing chapter and verse...I must admit I was being lazy and wanted you to do the footwork for me.

Reading the rest of the passage (Hebrews 6:9-20) may also help you to realize that Jesus is the anchor of your soul so that if you truly believe in Him, you cannot fall away.
John 6:47, John 5:24, John 10:27-30
So in one sense, I agree. Hebrews 6 has a much deeper meaning than probably most understand. Most people will have a falling away of sorts, but you also need to think of the context. The book is written to JEWS, (hence the name), and it is warning them of the dangers of reverting back to their law abiding ways before they came to Christ. Just as Paul did with the Galatians in Galatians 5. It is the same warning. The warning is still valid for today, that if a person who was in the faith should leave the faith to follow after another salvation, even if it were by works, they would fall from grace.
I already agree with you.You nailed it.
But let's look at what that means. Most say that identifying with Jesus name and a church means you are golden. But what I see all around me is a scenario where people identify with Jesus name and image, yet ignore his commands. This is what "the great falling away" is. It is not sprinkling in theology from another denomination or religion.
Before you get upset and correct me, please ask the Holy Spirit if this is true or not.
Did I say it wasn't real? You should reread my commentWhy give the warnings if falling away from the faith isn't real?
