I kind of agree about overrated after seeing them. They just have little talent going for them & probably will never be more than a band with a few songs known.

What do you think of Fall Out Boy? They're my favorite group that's not a christian band..... Please vote in the poll and post your opinions.

People name-drop them way too often around here, just b/c they're from Illinois. I'm not that impressed with the music and I'm truly not impressed with the name-dropping.


Some of their songs are okay, but I'd def. skip the concert....if they came to Summerfest....which they are.

Those who voted "Can't Stand Them" are probably ignorant heavy metal fans (there are a few on this part of the forum).

I voted "Good". I didn't like "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race", but "Thanks for the Memories" is good...catchy.

How are we ignorant heavy metal fans? Metal is one of the most complicated genres within music and requires more skill to perform than any other genre - And no I don't only listen to Metal, I listen to Progressive Rock, Rock, Electronica, Progressive Metal and so on and am very open to several music genres, but these guys are sell outs without any kind of originality.

Anyway, I can't stand them. They have that "emo" sound that makes me want to cry and all their songs are really simple, they're not very original and basically ripped their style from other more prominent bands(And got more success) - Their lyrics are bad and the only good part about them is the instrumental part, because at least they show some kind of skill there.

Horribly mediocre, trite, boring, sounds the same as a dozen other bands. I honestly can't think of one redeeming feature.

Their cds make great skeet, you can use the album covers as fuel for a campfire. You can use the music to scare off crows so that they dont eat the corn.

I wish I could change my vote. FOB are emo, and right now I'm sick to death of emo. I voted good but I wish I could change to Ehhh. I only voted good because of "Thanks for the Memories", but I'm sick of that now -- they have nothing much more to like for me.
