Fact check: Trump falsely claims Texas 'made a fortune' on Hurricane Harvey at Dallas rally

What we are witnessing is a quai-religlous/political cult whereby the more outrageous the claims of its "narcissistic" leader, the stronger the bond he creates with his "true-believers" who have voluntarily relinquished their ability to differentiate fact from fiction!

Presumably Trump is tapping into and exploiting a pervading sense of anger and betrayal of those who feel left behind by American society, a circumstance that he has no serious intention of alleviating because that would undermine his political base!

He wins because no else has an equally bad character to take the fight to him fighting fire with fire.

He says things that are just so outlandish folks just assume it's real on account of how it's too crazy to be made up.

Trump lies: that is what he does.

He pulls the nastiest lies out from where the sun doesn't shine. No matter how much it stinks he knows he'll have folks just buy it up.

Nobody lies like Donald lies.

Donald Trump ran on the slogan "Make America Great Again." So far, he has kept his promise to make America great again. Which is to say, he didn't lie.

No, Republican Values Voter, Trump has done the opposite.

He is conducting a coup against the Constitution, the separation of powers, and checks and balances.

Be honest. Why do you support this coup?

You haven't been paying attention? OK, during the election he frequently used the term "Crooked Hillary " and encouraged the chant "Lock her up". So, now he is president what is stopping him? Nothing is stopping him from laying charges except --- there is no crime to charge her with. He was willing to defame her just to make himself look good. He appeals to those who don't think for themselves and are willing to overlook the fact that he is completely unqualified to be in the office he holds. A bull in a china shop.

You could start here:

and when you've gotten through all 106 of those you can go through all 254 of these:
All False statements involving Donald Trump | PolitiFact
and when you've finished checking them you might look through this Wikipedia page:
Veracity of statements by Donald Trump - Wikipedia
Donald Trump has made many false or misleading statements, including thousands during his presidency. Commentators and fact-checkers have described the rate of his falsehoods as unprecedented[1] in American politics,[2][3][4] and they have become a distinctive part of both his business and his political identity.[5] He has a pattern of making controversial statements and subsequently denying having done so.[6][7] By June 2019 many news organizations had started describing some of Trump's falsehoods as lies,[8] and that he has repeated some falsehoods so many times that he has effectively engaged in disinformation.[9]

When a Trump supporter replies to remarks about the President's dishonesty with a request for examples, you know he is only asking for how much you know, not whether it is true.

Hi RVV,

I think it greatly depends on which side of the cow pattie fence you're standing on as to whether or not one believes that the current administration has made America great again.

As I see it, we've alienated most of our allies. We've thrown a wrench into the world economy that didn't need to be thrown. We have an administration that works like a fairly fast moving and often stopping merry-go-round to let people off and let others on. There is very little doubt, in at least half the population, that all things government have gone downhill and not uphill. Our national deficit is climbing faster than it ever has in a 'good' economy.

So, from my side of the fence, America was great. It isn't so much now. But we can set the ship aright still, if we don't go too far down this path of self-destruction.

God bless,
In Christ, ted

Sistrin, you are lost. Yes, Trump's coup against the Constitution is demonstrated by him on a daily basis and supported/evidenced by his lackeys and followers. Mulvany's admission of 'quid pro quo' is simply one example of dozens. Sondland's testimony is another sample. There will be more in committee hearings today.

The 'coup attempt' by the deep Right has failed.

I suppose it's possible that there's some developer who is making a wad a cash rebuilding.
That's hardly "Texas" but one or two individuals that in Trump's world constitutes everything he knows, or cares to know, that is Texas.
