  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  3. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  4. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  5. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  6. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  7. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

Do you have any pets? Before I met my friend that works the nightshift, my dog was a comfort to me on nights that I had nightmares. I justified waking him up because a) he didn't mind as long as he got goodies b) he always wakes me up! and c) he gets to sleep all day, unlike me!

Other times I would hop on the computer and see if anyone was on IM.

My back pain has flared up so my goal today is to get through the day, especially the afternoon, when the kids get home from school. Getting through the day means not letting all the things that need to be done worry me. Remind myself that there is always tomorrow.

I agree with Maycontainnuts - my cat has been a huge blessing to me, especially lately. She always comes to bed with me and gives me lots of lovin as I'm saying my prayers and reading my Bible and getting ready to sleep. She doesn't stay, but she "tucks me in" every night, and it's a comfort to have a warm, furry, sweet little buddy there with you when it's dark and quiet and you feel lonely and scared. I call her my "angel kitty", and I don't doubt that God has told her more than once to come and comfort me when I'm upset.

    :LOVE TO GRACIE!:

I am going to go on the nature trails this morning, then meet up with a friend to do an extra credit experiment this afternoon, then go to class, then go to a pasta party, then work out. And then I am coming home and I'm going to SLEEP! And ALL my classes are canceled tomorrow so its going to be an awesome sleeping in experience.

I am going to my first Weight Watchers meeting tonight. This is a biggie for me. I need to lose a lot of weight, and admitting it in public is going to be a huge step for me.

It WAS to go work-out. But I left my pass at home, so unless DH gets off really early I don't think it will happen.
New goal, LOL, is to make an organized grocery list, and sort through coupons. Totally not fear-facing. The going to work out was fear-facing.

How did it go? WW is very effective, by the way. I lost a lot of weight using their points system and have kept it off. I haven't been doing well at counting points lately, though, so I haven't been losing much weight. I also haven't gone to their meetings anymore because I don't have the money.

That's OK, you were productive! I don't have fear facing goals every day but I do try to do something productive on a daily basis, even if it is something small (because some days I am just too tired to do much you know?).

What kind of work out were you planning to do?

To get through the day and another night without choking. I'm definitely less congested, but still coughing way too much and about to lose my voice...

    OH, to be healthy again!!!

I have been suffering for several months now, I realised my derealisation was caused by panic attacks, and linked to unforgiveness of my dad, (I realised my mind dissociated my relationship with him, such that he did not feel like my dad). 2 days ago I walked up to him and said "I forgive you" with so much courage that could only have come from the Lord. And right now I feel i'm coming back to reality because I can feel safe with my family (especially him) and so my mind is beginning to repair the negative feelings, and my derealisation is lessening! Amazing! I might be able to advise you if you need help just pm/im me! God bless! :D

Drive to school, go to class, go to the gym, not be too hard on myself for not going to the Panera Bread Bible study this morning. I had started feeling panicky last night and tried to keep myself busy in order to get my mind off it but then I couldn't sleep so this morning when my alarm went off I just turned it off.

To get through the day. My anxiety levels are peaked pretty high today. Goal is to try and ride the wave and not dwell on the triggers.

Today I have to pass out surveys to a class full of 100 people. It is not going to hurt me to do that but I am nervous about it anyway. Also there are supposed to be really bad storms today so I am getting a ride to school but that will just make me worry about my Mom's safety.
