Which kind of eyeliner are you using; Liquid or pencil?

How do you apply your eyeliner? Here are some tips that you can consider.

1. Choose an eyeliner appropriate for your eye color. Brown, navy and charcoal accent light eyes well, while brown and plum shades flatter brown eyes. Make sure your liner complements the color of your shadow or eye color.
2. Consider the type of look you're after. Pencil eyeliner gives your eyes soft definition, while liquid versions offer precision and drama. You can also moisten dark eye shadow and apply it with a small, flat brush.
3. Prepare a cake liner or a dark eye shadow by applying a small amount of water to your brush. Or, if you're using a pencil eyeliner, ensure that you've sharpened the pencil adequately.
4. Move the wet brush gently through your cake liner or dark shadow. Hold the brush or pencil as you would hold a pen.
5. Tilt your head back slightly and bring your eyes to a half-open state. This creates a good angle for application, while allowing you to see what you're doing.
6. Draw a line across the upper lid just above the lashes, from the inside corner to the outside corner of the eye. If you're using liquid liner, allow it to dry before opening your eyes all the way, or the color may transfer into the crease of your eye.
7. If you used a brush or a pencil, soften the look by gently smudging the line with your brush, a cotton swab or your finger. (if you want a smokey look)
8. Line the lower lids. Moving from the outside edge inward, draw a line on the outer two-thirds of the lid or more, depending on the look you're going for. Your line should be slightly thicker at the outside corner, becoming thinner as it moves in toward your nose. Using your brush or pencil, lightly stroke the area. If using a liquid liner, apply it in one smooth stroke. Apply less color so your eyes don't appear raccoonlike.

The rock look. You mean kinda like this? [IMG]
What you can do to get that black all around, kinda like a smokey look. Take a eye pencil that is Black! Start with the pencil going outward across, right above your eyelashes, and stop when you get to the outer corner of your eye. Try to make the apply a thick line, not too thick.

Once you have done that to both eyes. Take a sponge applicator or your finger, and gently smudge the liner that you applyed across back and forth (very lightly) and then upwards.

Next, Take your black eyeliner pencil once again, now you are going to apply some to the bottom of your eyes.

Starting from the outer corners of your lower lashes. Sweep the liner across to the inner corner of your eye. You dont want the line to be as thick at the bottom lashes, becasue you may end up looking like a racoon otherwise.

When you have done this to both eyes, lightly smudge the bottom lashes back and forth, NOT DOWNWARDS.

To finish off, take some shimmer, and lightly apply it to the inner corners of your eyes to make your eyes appear more bigger and this will also help the liner stand out more.

Goodluck :)

The way i do it is i take a grey eyeshadow and apply to my eyelid(up to socket or maybe a little past that) , then a darker grey and apply to the lowest part of my eyelid (kinda like a thick lash line) and to the outer corners of bottom lashline and kinda along it too.

Then i apply a thick line of black liquid eyeliner to the upper lashline. This gives my eyes a pretty definition but doesnt stand out too much coz everything is still smoky. Then lots of black mascara!!

Another option is to line your inner rims lightly with black eyeliner pencil and then do the bottom lashline extra heavy. Use something like the Almay pencil coz it's hypoallergenic and pretty smudge proof ( i know u want it to smudge a little, but u dont want to lose it all!lol)

Increasingly male musicians are using a little as well for their eyes, aren't they? So what do you ladies think of that?

I think it looks cute on some guys, such as Billy Joe from Greenday. However, i personally prefer guys with no makeup.

eyeliner always looks strange on my eyes, there is some kind of small gap of skin on my eyes where the eyeliner cannot be applied so it looks so strange.

Did anyone see the new cover of Rolling Stone? Billy Joe is on the front cover, and he sure is wearing a lot of eye makeup!
