The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yeh my dad,
it's his mouth that almost made me suicide back in the past, and he hasn't apologised for it. It was really bad, because he used the Bible to prove that he was always right.
Like he told his older brother to divorce his wife, so that he could get through a hole in the System into entering Australia. And when confronted, he still thinks he is right, and instead of proving himself was right, he proved right in front of us that we were wrong.
He showed the Bible where it had said, a good son is one that listens and obeys the father, and also to my mum, he showed her, a nagging wife is the downfall, and the cause of all problems.
It's really fustrating, but these days, he goes and tells the whole church we have satan, because we don't listen to him.
I really have a huge problem with him now, because he has just used some of our family savings, used for a bit of help for fund my uni degree, and used it to fund his brother in HK, whom he is taking another shot at getting him into australia again.
And he calls himself a Christian, even though he lies to people, takes no responsibility and evertime he causes a problem in the business, my mum or myself have to fix up the customer who is offended by his remarks.
And also my friends, he caused divisions in his attitude and now, they're lost.
And yet he still calls himself Christian.
I don't get it, he dosen't admit his wrong and he causes problems. And when we don't fix it, he blames us for not fixing it.
If only he could listen, but these days, no one in the family takes him seriously. My younger brother ignores him always, and when we go to dinners with friends, he talks to everyone with a large voice, but friends are more interested in talking to me or my mum.

I once met someone who it seemed as if satan was speaking right through them.........so I asked the person to step to the side and then I squashed a huge rotten banana right up satans left nostril.....I can tell you satan was not impressed....he started yelling at me saying: You really get up my nose you do!
