All hail religious (and cable) fundamentalists, he said with tongue in cheek. However, both Europe and China are depending on Iranian (and Kurdish Iraqi) co-operation in the completion of China's overland highway to open up trade between the two continents. It's been 600 years. These forces will eventually attain, one way or another, what is needed of Iran to complete their project.

The Iranian supreme leader just announced that they have the support of God. So with His support that could really make any retaliation against Iran futile.

Too bad they aren't worshiping the true God.

Do you believe there's a separate way to salvation other than Christ and him crucified @timothyu ?

1 John 2:23 Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

That has nothing to do with what was said. Jews, Muslims and Christians all follow the God of Abraham.

You can't follow the God of Abraham and deny Jesus. Why would you say a direct quote from the Bible has nothing to do with what was said? If you deny Jesus, you don't have the Father, AKA the God of Abraham.

So you are saying that the Jews and Muslims don't follow the same God of Abraham?

Have they denied the Son, Jesus Christ?

You are evading the original question. We are talking about the God of Abraham.

No, I'm answering your question. This is the most basic concept that a Christian must understand. That Jesus is the only path to salvation. If you've denied the Son, you've denied the Father and do not have him. So to answer your question directly, no, the Jews and Muslims do not follow the God of Abraham.

They will be indeed surprised to hear that, especially the Jews and the rest of the House of Israel.

Actually, those who follow Jesus are considered Jews and the House of Israel. The surprise will be to those that deny him.

Jewish people would be surprised by that assertion. You can worship God, and still be seriously wrong in your understanding of Him.

Since all the major groups of Christians in the world disagree on important points about God, we can only conclude (assuming your POV) that Christians don't follow the God of Abraham either.

Show me a group of "Christians" that don't agree that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotton son of God, and the only path to salvation and I'll show you the spirit of anti-christ.

So your particular doctrine is that those who worship the God who spoke to Abraham, but don't know about Jesus, don't worship the God of Abraham?

That would include Abraham himself, and all his descendants until the birth of Jesus. I think you have it wrong.

You understand why there's an old and new testament in the Bible, right?

Thing is we are talking about the God of Abraham, so diverting attention to Jesus is not addressing the point.
