Hi Family,

How do we worship in spirit and in truth?

Is there more to worship than praise?

Is it total submission to God's plan and purpose?

What about keeping His commandments?

How do you worship?

What is it we get out of worship?

We can worship God or his Messenger/Messiah all we want but without doing as they commanded, our praise falls upon deaf ears.

How do we worship in spirit and in truth?

Being born again, borne by the Father and/or Jesus daily , carried , sustained, in new life, set apart spirit, purpose and plan in Him His Way, seeking Him, and more.... all as His Word describes.

Is it total submission to God's plan and purpose?

Becoming His disciples, this is His and our desire, to be whole in Christ JEsus, His Way.

What about keeping His commandments?

As His disciples, we conform to Jesus, living His Way, Abiding in Him , following Him and doing as He Says always.

What is it we get out of worship?

As we serve God, we fulfill His Purpose for us, and we are recognizing His Greatness, His Almightyness, His being the Creator of us , His Rule over us , His Care of all of us, His Perfect Provision and Care and Him Directing our steps in service(worship), and everything pertaining to life, everything in our lives.

Hello,

God's law is truth (Psalms 119:142) and the Spirit has the role of leading us to obey God's law (Ezekiel 36:26-27), so obedience to it is the way to worship God in spirit and in truth. The way to worship God is by acting in accordance with His nature by obeying His law, such as by doing good works we are knowing, loving, worshiping, believing in, and testifying about God's goodness, which is why our good works give glory to Him (Matthew 5:16). Likewise, obedience to God's law is total submission to God's plan and purpose. What we get out of worship is the gift of experiencing the expression of God's nature, which is the way to know Him, which is the gift of eternal life (John 17:3), and which is why Jesus said that obedience to God's commandments is the way to enter eternal life (Matthew 19:17, Luke 10:25-28).

Or simply put, reject the self serving ways of mankind which we as a species have always followed and taught others to follow, thus putting the will of man before the will of God. Loving all as self which is God's will is not by any means seeking gain at another's expense.
