Happy Days star Erin Moran dies aged 56

In a 1988 interview, Moran said she suffered from depression after Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi were canceled and she was unable to gain acting roles.[2] Moran confirmed news reports that her California home was foreclosed on in 2010,[19] following media claims that she was also served eviction papers and moved into her mother-in-law's trailer home in Indiana.[20] In 2017, Variety magazine said she "had fallen on hard times in recent years. She was reportedly kicked out of her trailer park home in Indiana because of her hard-partying ways".[21]

I know first hand how so many of us try so hard to ease our depression by self medicating. It sometimes makes it feel like the depression goes away for a little while or at least we get in a state where we don't care about feeling it or are too numb to feel anything at all until we can pass out and be at peace. Then the morning comes and we have to figure a way to get the money to do it all over again. A sad wretched way to live I have found. Only leads to jails, institutions, and death as they say in the Big Book.
