Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(NOTE: Sins required payment is DEATH.)

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
(NOTE: ALL are sinners & deserve DEATH)

Eph 2:8 For "by grace" "are ye saved" "through faith"; and that not of yourselves: "it is the gift of God":
(NOTE: By grace, you will be saved, when you apply faith to Christ's sin payment & resurrection. God's GRACE is the GIFT!)

Thayer's Greek/English Lexicon defines the Greek word (charis) translated gift as: A Gift of Grace, a favor received without merit.

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Rom 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the "gift by grace", which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
(NOTE: Faith, is the conduit/vehicle whereby we access, God's unearned/unmerited "gift of grace")

Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as "God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith".
(NOTE: To those that believe faith is the gift mentioned in Eph 2:8. "Although everyone has been dealt/given a measure of faith". Only those that place their faith in Christ's sin payment & resurrection will be saved).

Eph 3:7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

For those the believe salvation is the gift mentioned in Eph 2:8. Reread the verse, it simply doesn't say by salvation are ye saved.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
(NOTE: The gift of God's grace has a name. For God so loved the world (Jn 3:16); he gave us Jesus the Christ)

KJV Dictionary Definition - Grace: Appropriately, the free unmerited love and favor of God, the spring and source of all the benefits men receive from him.

Yes, all mankind are basically 'sinners' (Rom. 3:23) as you show in our Bible, and thus all are under the condemnation from birth (note Genesis 2; Genesis 3; etc.); and thus we sin because we are a FALLEN race from the beginning even in the "garden of Eden". That is exactly why the Lord Jesus Christ as God's "...beloved Son" needed to come down to pay the price of redemption (noting John 3; John 14; etc.) ---which we could never pay (see the Epistle 1 Jn. 5:10-12). It is NOT by religious works as some suppose.

God who is Holy cannot look upon sin for He is a "consuming fire" of holiness. Mankind often does not appreciate the HOLINESS of our Creator. We truly need the Lord Jesus in our heart to have any part in God. Many professing Christians do not see the full truth of what God is telling mankind about this urgent need to be "born again" before we die.

The posts focus was 1 verse Eph 2:8.

Through faith placed in Christ's sinless death & resurrection. God give's us many gifts. Eternal life/salvation via His indwelling Holy Spirit Yes.

Righteousness being another gift believers receive:

Rom 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the "gift of righteousness" shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

As the post began we're all sinners deserving of death. It all begins with God's grace!

No grace = No salvation, no imputed righteousness, no indwelling Holy Spirit/eternal life.

Ephesians 2:1-10, "As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of Godnot by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

It is virtually impossible to misinterpret this part of Paul's letter.
