Entertaining Toys (maybe 8 year-olds)

I discovered science toys. I'm only guessing at the age, but I find the Magic Energy Stick fascinating. It teaches about circuits and I imagine an 8-year-old would love it! I hope it doesn't have any long term ill effects, because it's one of the coolest toys I've ever seen.
