england nuclear submarine fire trident missile at USA

trident II D5 ballistic missile is 13 metres long, weighs 60 tonnes and can carry nuclear warheads with up to eight times the destructive capacity of the bombs that murdered people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki

How did the Trident test fail and what did Theresa May know?

If you read the report, it didn't have a nuclear warhead and it was a test.

The fact that the system obviously wasn't working properly would - in the minds of many people - be an argument for more testing rather than less.

Now I see that your basic premises are vastly different from mine on this matter. No point in arguing.

but i personally don't believe that north korea should do more missile test.

i am just questioning the double standard we set.

Well, okay; I thought you were suggesting that the UK and the US were supposedly testing outside the limits of treaties.

You imply that the accident was intentional and that it wasn't being monitored and that the report you linked doesn't indicate that the warhead- which wasn't nuclear- wasn't destroyed, which it was. Since there are so many flaws in your assumptions, it's hard to interact with you on this.

or

should there be sanctions against england?

The UK is allowed to have delivery vehicles for nuclear weapons. North Korea is not. So of course there is going to be a double standard, because the situations aren't the same.

I seriously wonder if you are being serious or just trolling.

UK is the US's closest ally. The UK would actually have to bomb a US city on purpose for the US to want to take action against the UK. So no, there shouldn't be sanctions against England for many logical reasons...

For one, we conduct joint military exercises and military weapons tests all the time. As near as I can tell, this was a mistake/accident so why on Earth would we ever impose sanctions on England for that?

North Korea on the other hand is not an ally or a friend of the US. Their missile tests have a completely different context..

You aren't even arguing apples and oranges you are arguing apples and elephants... not even in the same ballpark as an issue...

So it is hard to take your question seriously

the part where England intentionally meant to do the US harm...

is that your argument? Is your argument that England intentionally attacked the US?
Is your argument that England sought to do harm to the US via a missile attack?

Please be as precise as you can with your argument with your explanation of act, intent, and context.

Or put another way. It's like you are saying, "There was this man in blue, he had a saw and he cut into my dad's chest and then he got this medieval looking device, put it in my dad's chest and broke my dad's sternum!!!"

And then we have to explain to you that the man in blue was a doctor and he was performing open heart surgery on your dad...

And yet you are running around screaming, "He cut into my dad's chest with a saw!!!!! Don't you understand, he attacked my dad!!! Why won't you arrest him..."

SO you see, we need more than mere act, we need intent, we need context. And so, just because England fired a missile at the US doesn't mean much or anything at all without the proper context and intent.

So what exactly are you arguing? Please be as precise as possible.

None of this makes me feel any better. I wonder if this stuff happens all the time. Also I'm guessing the United States do the same thing. Sad.

1. This is old news.
2. The US administration was aware from start to finish, there was no attack and no risk.
3. Naveed you need to look into things more or stop deliberately trying to divide people (Americans and English in this case)
