EAGLES and STORMS and SUFFERING

WHAT GOOD CAN COME FROM A STORM IN LIFE ?

Research has shown that if you help an eagle hatchling to break out of its egg this in fact weakens it and causes the hatchling to die. It is the struggle that the eaglet must face in the process of breaking out of its shell that in fact is used to build the strength needed in the hatchling to be able to survive and face the rest of its journey. Similarly the storms in our lives through which comes struggle are not meant to be allowed to destroy us but are meant to be used by us in order to build strength to face the rest of our journey.

WHAT EAGLES LEARN TO DO IN THE STORM ?

The eagle will fly to some high point and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it through understanding how to use the wind to rise to new and higher heights. The eagle does not see the storm from a perspective of fear but instead through a different perspective it uses the storm to its advantage through understanding and courage and endurance.

BY FAITH THROUGH HOPE IN GOD WE CAN SOAR THROUGH THE STORM AS AN EAGLE

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Storms and difficulties are like headwinds that blow in upon our lives, sometimes with gale-force strength. As eagles face headwinds, we must learn to face ours head on through faith and prayer by hope through knowing that God is with us in the midst of the storm.

Psalm 33:22 (KJV)

Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
