Emotional Healing. There is nothing more difficult to confront than a picture someone has portrayed of you that is a lie to who you know yourself to be. That is the definition of betrayal from another, consciously or subconsciously done.
The betrayal produces feelings, the language of the body. Because the feelings are contradictory to our thoughts of ourselves, which is the language of the mind, there is a confusion of emotions, emotions being the voice of the heart,
and stress, fight or flight is born ….. yet stifled ….. frustrations and angry or tears is the result because no other outlet has been provided to escape from the dualism of the situation.
Emotions are feelings plus thought. Correctly aligned our body and mind communicate and reach agreement. Inward working of knowing thyself that is distinct from the noise of the world and recognizing the emotions balancing to obtain the correct expressions from the heart. Not those of reactions to things of the world, but rather actions from the true sphere in alignment to God’s righteousness.
Thoughts in themselves are pure and we have a right to fully explore every one of them. New knowledge comes from truth built on truth gained from concepts given to us thru intuition. Imaginations are whatever you want them to be, whether born from guilt, shame or whatever. All are conversation starters with Christ.
Emotion collects the information of the bodies state by continuously monitoring the body experience as thoughts roll by.
For out of the heart cometh forth ….
Emotions are therefore natural and important vehicles for self-awareness. Feelings, tied to thoughts, provide a glimpse into our inner and outer realities and needs. Therein is our own truth contained, stored in heaven, for where the heart is our treasure is also.
Together they form the basis for our ability to reason. God calls us to reason together with Him.
