This is a few days old but considering the situation with Saudi Arabia's crackdown and accusations of aggression from Iran, I think things are currently spiraling out of control pretty fast if accurate.

Israeli Hit by Syrian Gunfire; IDF Prepares to Enter Bloody Civil War

Israel has in recent years carried out numerous targeted strikes against Hezbollah targets in the context of Syria's ongoing civil war.

But the Jewish state has been careful to avoid actually being pulled into the conflagration.

Until now.

Israeli military leaders on Friday vowed to intervene in defense of the Syrian Druze village of Hader, which lies a short distance over the border in the Golan Heights.

Hader has been aligned with the regime of Syrian dictator Bashar Assad (the Druze are typically loyal to whichever party is in power), making it a target for all of the various rebel and Islamist groups participating in Syria's civil war.

Earlier in the day, Hader was attacked by a suicide bomber from the jihadist group Al Nusra. Nine people were killed and another 23 injured.

IDF Brigadier General Ronen Manelis announced that the Israeli army was prepared to "prevent Hader from being harmed or occupied as part of our commitment to the Druze population."

Such a commitment could very quickly bring Israeli forces into direct conflict with Al Nusra and other rebel groups.

The decision came just hours after a Druze resident of northern Israel was hit by stray gunfire from Syria. The victim is in stable condition.

The Druze residents of Israel consider themselves blood-brothers of the Jewish majority.

Saudi-Iran war would create this domino effect of global disaster
Saudi Arabia Orders Its Citizens Out of Lebanon, Raising Fears of War
Saudi Arabia is opening a new front against Iran, and wants Israel to do its dirty work
Analysts: Saudi Arabia calling on ‘ally’ Israel to fight a war in Lebanon

According to Ezekiel 38 and 39, Saudi Arabia is going to be an unreliable ally to Israel at best. They won't defend Israel but they won't attack them either. It's more of a "What the heck are you doing?! Are you trying to plunder Israel for all it's worth?!" than anything else.

"Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages will say to you, "Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?"'" ~Ezekiel 38:14

I have been say watch out for Keturah's children (Saudis). I don't know why but every time I have brought it up on this forum people have just ignored me. Now it seems they will be the match for starting hostilities.

1 Chronicles 1:32
Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.

They are NOT "Palestinians"!

Who do you think OUR in Genesis 1:26 include ?Hint: the sons of God ie the angels...who were created by God eons of time before the humans.

Genesis 1:26-27
26 And God said, Let us make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Disagree with your interpertation.

The us and our pertains to the triune GOD head of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Be careful about substituting created beings in place of GOD in your interpertation of scripture.

Adam and Eve were created perfect in the image of GOD

Report: Trump's team drafting peace plan

U.S. President Donald Trump and his advisers have begun developing their own concrete blueprint to end the conflict between Israelis and Palestinian Arabs, The New York Times reported Saturday.

According to the report, the plan is intended to go beyond previous frameworks offered by the American government in pursuit of what the president calls “the ultimate deal.”

After 10 months of educating themselves on the complexities of the world’s most intractable dispute, White House officials said, Trump’s team has moved into a new phase of its venture in hopes of transforming what it has learned into tangible steps to end a stalemate that has frustrated even presidents with more experience in the region.

According to The New York Times, Trump’s team has collected “non-papers” exploring various issues related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and officials said they expected to address such perennial dividing points as the status of Jerusalem and the communities in Judea and Samaria.

Analysts said they anticipated that the plan will be built around the so-called “two-state solution” despite the fact that Trump has been non-committal to a Palestinian state.

“We have spent a lot of time listening to and engaging with the Israelis, Palestinians and key regional leaders over the past few months to help reach an enduring peace deal,” said Jason Greenblatt, the president’s chief negotiator, who has made several visits to the region in recent months.

“We are not going to put an artificial timeline on the development or presentation of any specific ideas and will also never impose a deal. Our goal is to facilitate, not dictate, a lasting peace agreement to improve the lives of Israelis and Palestinians and security across the region,” he added.

According to the report, Trump’s team sees the convergence of factors that make the moment for peace ripe, including an increased willingness by Arab states to finally solve the issue to refocus attention on Iran, which they consider the bigger threat. With that in mind, Egypt is brokering a reconciliation between Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas, a deal that would cement the PA as the representative of the Palestinian people. Saudi Arabia has summoned Abbas to Riyadh to reinforce the importance of a deal.

The four-member team drafting the plan includes Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, Greenblatt, Dina H. Powell, a deputy national security adviser, and David Friedman, the U.S. Ambassador to Israel. They are consulting with Donald Blome, the consul general in Jerusalem, and others from the State Department and National Security Council. Officials said the effort may take until early next year.

The team has drawn praise from across the spectrum, noted The New York Times.

“We do believe this is a historic opportunity, and we will spare no effort to support President Trump’s investment in a better future,” Husam Zomlot, the Palestinian Authority’s envoy to Washington, said in an interview. During a trip to London this month, Netanyahu said, according to the report, “They are trying to think out of the box.”

Some analysts quoted by the Times said they believed Trump’s plan may come with confidence-building provisions that each side will already have agreed to. For Israel, it could include limiting construction to current blocs without taking new land, recommitting to a two-state solution and redesignating a small part of Judea and Samaria to give Palestinians more control.

For the PA, the analysts said the plan could include resuming full security cooperation with Israel, holding off seeking further international recognition and ending payments to families of imprisoned terrorists. Arab states, particularly Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, could add their own commitments, like overflights by Israeli passenger planes, visas for business people and telecommunications links.

A White House official dismissed that as mere speculation.

Report: Saudi document lays out plans for peace with Israel

Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar exposed Tuesday morning "The secret document of the Saudi Foreign Ministry," that it claims includes a road map towards rejuvenating the 2002 Saudi Peace Initiative and hints at meetings and understandings between Israeli and Saudi officials.

The document, claims the paper, proves everything that has been leaked over the last few months since US President Donald Trump's visit to the region in May. According to the leaks, Washington aims to mediate a peace agreement between Israel and the oil-rich kingdom. The document, said to be signed by Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, also allegedly confirms mutual visits by senior officials including the rumored visit of the Saudi Crown Prince to Tel Aviv.

According to the Lebanese paper, which is aligned with Hezbollah and has a history of fabrications, the document also includes "the compromises Riyadh will offer to end the Palestinian issue," and in addition, "Riyadh's efforts to gain support against Iran and Hezbollah."

"Saudi Arabia's rapprochement with Israel involves a risk to the Muslim peoples of the Kingdom, because the Palestinian cause represents a spiritual and historical and religious heritage," reads the report claiming to quote the document. "The Kingdom will not take this risk unless it feels the United States' sincere approach to Iran, which is destabilizing the region by sponsoring terrorism, its sectarian policies and interfering in the affairs of others."

A key demand of the Saudis, according to the report, is the dismantling of Israel's alleged nuclear weapons capabilities.

"Any rapprochement between the Kingdom and Israel depends on the parity of the relationship between the two countries. At the military level, Israel is the only country possessing nuclear weapons in the Middle East, which gives it superiority in the regional balance of power. Accordingly, the Kingdom should be allowed to possess such deterrent elements or Israel must demilitarize."

The report stipulates that "Saudi Arabia will harness its diplomatic capabilities and political relations with the Palestinian Authority and with Arab and Islamic countries to facilitate finding reasonable, acceptable and innovative solutions to the disputed issues contained in the Arab peace initiative presented by Saudi Arabia, and through the adoption of innovative solutions by the United States."

Among the guidelines Riyadh is reportedly proposing are: the subordination of the city of Jerusalem to international sovereignty, the permanent settlement of Palestinian refugees in the West Bank or their naturalization by other Muslim states and the holding of a major summit to launch a final peace agreement.

In exchange, the report says, Saudi Arabia will demand Washington ratchet up US and international sanctions against Iran for its ballistic missile program and its sponsorship of terrorism around the world and revisit the P5+1 nuclear agreement to make sure it is strictly enforced. The document also demands "intensive intelligence cooperation in the fight against organized crime and drug trafficking supported by Iran and Hezbollah."

The Saudi peace initiative, also known as the Arab peace initiative, has been referenced over the last 15 years as a possible basis for peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Since Trump announced his plans to forge a wider regional peace agreement, which he dubbed "the ultimate deal," it has resurfaced as a platform on which to pave a path forward. Recent reports have surfaced that the administration team tasked with finding a solution has moved on from the listening and learning mode and has begun proposing a path ahead.

There have also been reports, though they have been denied, that Saudi Arabia is pressuring Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas into accept Trump's peace terms, most recently on a emergency visit Abbas was called to pay to the kingdom earlier this month.

There is no way to verify the content of the document reported by AL-Akhbar. Hezbollah, the Lebanese proxy of Iran, has reasons to try to discredit Saudi Arabia by painting it as capitulating to the US and Israel.

US-Russia ceasefire could leave Iran forces 3 miles from Israel

Iranian-backed forces in Syria could reportedly remain close as 3 miles from Israel’s border under a recent ceasefire agreement between the United States, Russia and Jordan.

An Israeli official said militias allied with Iran would be allowed to maintain positions as close at 3 to 4 miles to some parts of the border, while being pushed up to around 19 miles away in others. The positions of the rebels fighting Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime will affect the arrangements, the anonymous official said.

According to media reports, the deal applies even to Iranian proxies fighting on behalf of Assad.

Israeli Intelligence Minister Yisrael Katz refused to confirm the reports. But he and other officials have signaled that the ceasefire does not do enough to protect the border and Israel will continue to act to protect its interests.

“Even though we view favorably the agreement on the need to eliminate the foreign forces — namely, the Iranian forces, Hezbollah and the Shiite militias from the area — the test will be on the ground, not in words but in deeds. Israel has already made it clear that it shall not accept Iran and its affiliates and proxies basing themselves in Syria, which will be a permanent threat and a constant source of tension, friction and instability,” Katz told JTA in a statement Monday.

After new photos were published of a permanent Iranian base being built some 30 miles from the Israeli Golan Heights, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said Saturday that Israel “will not allow the Shiite axis to be established in Syria as a base for action.”

On Sunday, minister Tzachi Hanegbi said the agreement “does not answer Israel’s unequivocal demands that there will be no developments that bring Iranian or Hezbollah forces closer to Israel’s border with Syria in the north.”

The agreement, announced in a US-Russian statement Saturday, affirms a call for “the reduction, and ultimate elimination” of foreign fighters from southern Syria.

Prime Minister Binyaamin Netanyahu has lobbied against allowing Iran to maintain any presence in Syria. He has also warned that Syria plans to create a permanent presence in the country, including with naval and air force bases, and that Israel will not allow it to happen.

Jordanian government spokesman Mohammad Momani confirmed Sunday no non-Syrian fighters would be allowed in the “de-escalation zone” under the agreement, which he said was built on a previous ceasefire reached in July.

He also said the deal was a “key step” in ending the fighting in Syria and would help lead to a political solution to the Syrian civil war, according to the country’s al-Ghad newspaper.

Democrats just launched articles of impeachment against Trump
Six Democrats introduce Trump impeachment articles, calling for hearings to begin immediately
House Dems introduce articles of impeachment against Trump - CNNPolitics

If they follow through on this, I can see this causing some instability in a country already losing its stability. It could also cause a dent in the peace plan and encourage Russia and friends to take some drastic measures.

This has certainly proved to be an interesting year to say the least.
