What do we actually want? What do we need?

As Mahatma Gandhi said: 'The World has enough for everyone's need, but not everyone's greed.'

GREED
There are rich and powerful people, who basically own the government and are in the process right now of taking the last of the country's wealth and can just leave with it and live anywhere in the World.

We don't need the main stream Democrats because they want to blow 30x more money than we have on a huge range of things the special interest groups and lobbyists want.
We don't need Donald Trump because he will stay within budget but give most of it to the rich in the belief that giving more to those who don't need any more is somehow a good idea.

NEED
We are spending twice as much per person on healthcare as comparable countries do while covering only 91.5% of the population. So we spend more yet don't cover everyone.

Our upper middle class have a lot of money yet 0.2% of the population are homeless.
The bed is too short to stretch out on, the blanket too narrow to wrap around you. (Is 28:20)

Covid is spreading among the homeless who are not following the advice to stay at home.

We spent way back in the last century and even the start of this the money we now don't have, for nothing.

We spent a fortune in Vietnam and harmed most of a generation, and another fortune in Afghanistan and Iraq. Meanwhile back at home healthcare got more and more expensive as MCOs and clinics and big pharma all price gouged us with the help of our own government.

And priced us out of our own industries which were then moved to other countries.

So our money keeps flowing overseas and the corporations pocket the savings and then the public with no concept of economics keep believing explanations that everything is fine.

We kept kicking the costs down the road for 'the next generation' to pay, and now we discover that is us.

There is still hope, we aren't totally bankrupt yet or in a state of widespread strife.

First focus on need, and then on efficiency and getting America working again, and get greed in check.

And reward people for doing good things well, maybe even get someone good for President.

It could be said that any country which can afford it should not have any citizen dying from lack of food, shelter or basic medical care, but the United States does, and yes, I'm one of the 8.5%.
