((OOC)) Dungeonspear: Seven

It all happened in a basement over the course of a year. A group of college students created a game called Dungeonspear, a roleplaying game based on classic fantasy. A three-hundred sixty page manual was the completed size, and they planned to use it in their next session. But they never would.

TJ's Game Shop, a small hole in the wall that had every game imaginable, was the place that decided the students' fate. Ryan Thompson, the core designer of Dungeonlance, and the already chosen Game Master of their games, purchased a set of seven dice there, neatly arranged in a wooden display box. The box was fine wood and the dice seemed so new as to almost the point of never have been used. He decided as he left the shop that he would not use them, but keep them rather as collectables. The dice had power that he never could have imagined, though he did not discover it until he rolled them for the first time anyway for their first game session with Dungeonspear. Books ready, characters written up, snacks laid out, the game was to begin, but as he removed the last die from the box, everything they knew was gone in an instant.

When they awaken, they will find that the world is not the same, but rather that the world of Dungeonspear is that of reality. And they are no longer themselves, but the characters they designed, with the same skills and abilities. Now they must find their way out of the game, if they can, before it seals their fate eternally.
